Throughout the first seven seasons of Game of Thrones, Bran Stark has had one of the more supernatural storylines on the show. We’re going to look at where he’s been until now.

Bran Stark’s story line on Game of Thrones is one that has been, for lack of a better word, strange. Paralyzed after a murder attempt by Cersei and Jaime Lannister, Bran has journeyed beyond the wall, and learned many secrets about people in Westeros.

With less than a week before Season 8 premieres, let’s look at Bran’s journey to this point.

Season 1

Bran is a kid who likes adventure and climbing. He’s being trained in combat by his dad and brothers. When his dad, Ned, decides he’s old enough to experience the grittier side of life, he takes him to witness the execution of a deserter.

One day, while he’s climbing part of the old castle, he accidentally see’s Cersei and Jaime engaged in sexual intercourse. Jaime, to keep their secret, shoves Bran out the window, causing him to fall. He falls into a coma, and Ned is forced to leave to King’s Landing without him.

After a while he wakes up, with no memory of what happened. After his mother leaves for King’s Landing, Old Nan sits next to him and tells him stories of the White Walkers. They’re interrupted by Robb who confirms Bran will never walk again.

After learning of his fate, he starts having a recurring dream of a three-eyed raven flying into Winterfell. Tyrion Lannister stops by after one of these dreams and delivers a specially made saddle for him, so he can ride. And Maester Luwin takes time to give him pointers on how to adjust to his new lifestyle.

While out on a ride on his new saddle, Bran is attacked by wildlings. Robb and Theon defend him and kill all but Osha, who becomes a servant of Winterfell. After he and Osha walk through the catacombs, they are approached by Maester Luwin who tells them that Ned has been killed.
