Roswell, New Mexico aired its devastating season finale and now we’re buzzing with questions about where the show will go from here if renewed.

Caution: There are major spoilers immediately for the Roswell, New Mexico season finale.

Even though I predicted the Noah twist, I can safely say Roswell, New Mexico saved its biggest shock for the final hour of the season. Between Noah’s death, Rosa’s resurrection, Michael/Maria, Kyle versus Jesse Manes and Max’s death, there is plenty for fans to consider and theorize about before next season (should the show get renewed).

Let’s look at five of the biggest questions we have after the finale.

5. What does Kyle have planned for Jesse Manes?

Kyle had a rough go of it this week (well, everyone did). He watches footage of his father’s death. Jesse Manes shoved him into the cell with the alien capable of producing a malignant, rapid-growing cancer. Manes also has plans to kill him in order to cover up everything that happened at Caulfield.

The young Valenti has every intention of buying a gun to protect himself but ultimately decides against it. Instead, he invests in a bulletproof vest, which comes in handy when Jesse Manes barges in to shoot him! Kyle manages to get the upper-hand on the sergeant and injects him with barbiturates, triggering a coma.

What’s next? Now that Kyle has control over Jesse, what is he going to do with him?

4. Are Isobel’s powers growing?

Speaking of characters who have had a rough go of it lately… I think Isobel takes home the grand prize. Not only was the man she was married to for years a serial killer that invaded her body and mind without her consent, but now he’s dead, which is its own kind of trauma.

It was a little frightening to watch Isobel destroy the framed photo of her and Noah because she demonstrated an ability we have only seen Michael show before now. Does that mean she’s now able to move things with her mind? Is she going to a dark place next season?
