ABC Upfront 2019: Fall schedule, The Rookie moves, small changes
ABC held its press conference call on May 14, where it shared its 2019 fall schedule and much more. Here are all the details you need from the ABC Upfront 2019 conference.
It’s the time of year when networks host their Upfront presentations, announcing fall schedules, any special announcements about the odd TV show cancellation and renewal, and offer a look at some of their freshman series promos. May 14 was the ABC Upfront 2019 presentation, with the announcement of the fall schedule and much more.
While this is for the advertisers, there’s no doubt as viewers that you’re looking for information about the ABC schedule. There were some changes to the lineup, with some shows from the 2018-2019 schedule being canceled and new freshman shows being added in. However, as expected, some of the shows kept their timeslot from last season – why “fix” something that isn’t broken?

The Rookie, which was a somewhat happy surprise renewal, is moving to a Sunday night. This is a less competitive night, suggesting that the network wants to see the show survive. Otherwise, the show would have likely moved to a Friday.
A Million Little Things is keeping its TGIT lineup. This isnt’ all that surprising considering the boost the show got when it moved to the Thursday night slot. It will be sandwiched between Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder, which means Station 19 will be moved back to the midseason lineup.
Mixed-ish, Emergence, Stumptown, and Kids Say the Darndest Things are the four new shows joining the lineup. Here’s the full lineup to get your fall 2019 schedule in order.
