It’s the start of a new month very soon. That means more new content is coming to streaming services. Here are five shows to watch on Acorn TV in June 2019, plus everything arriving to the service throughout the month.

With a new month comes more content. New shows and movies are being added to various streaming services, including Acorn TV — the Netflix for the Anglophile. Acorn in June 2019 sees the arrival of a number of documentaries focused on World War II. Naturally, one of those will make the top five list. There’s also a couple of Acorn TV Originals, a show with A Discovery of Witches‘ Matthew Goode, and much more. Here are the five shows you’ll want to check out on Acorn TV in June 2019.

5. Living in the Shadow of World War II

You’ve heard the tales of life on the battlegrounds. You’ll have heard stories of men lost at war. There are even the stories of the women who stepped up to help keep cities running while the men left and the women who fought on the front line to save lives as nurses. What isn’t covered too much is how everyday life had to carry on.

Living in the Shadow of World War II is available on Acorn TV on June 3, and has three hour-long episodes to watch.
