The Winchesters realize that the latest victim, Kristen, was meeting with someone who claimed he was a real vampire. They were supposed to head to a club known as “The Black Rose,” and to make matters worse, Samuel Campbell is sure that real vampires are involved. After all, blood from blood bank vans has been stolen and this is the fourth town with missing kids.
Dean becomes a vampire
While checking out things at The Black Rose, the Winchesters pick up a vampire’s trail. When Dean follows one into an alley, he’s overpowered by Boris and is fed the blood. He’s turned into a vampire and Sam just watches, before preventing Boris from taking Dean to the nest.
Dean becomes overwhelmed with the hypersensitivity. He manages to get out of the motel and heads to Lisa, who is shocked to see him watching her sleep — yes, Twilight, it is creepy. Dean is there to thank Lisa and Ben for everything, but when she wants to know more, Dean throws her against the wall, overwhelmed by her heartbeat.
Trying to leave, Ben gets in the way and Dean pushes him out of the way, shouting at him. Lisa pulls Ben towards her in fear, as Dean just gets out.
The cure for vampirism
The good news is that there may be a cure. Samuel’s grandfather wrote it in his journal, but Dean needs to avoid drinking any vampire blood. They also need the blood of the vampire who turned him. So, Dean heads to the vampire nest alone, taking out each of the vampires.
Meanwhile, Samuel is concerned that Sam allowed Dean to be turned on purpose. It allowed Dean to get into the nest to capture the Alpha Vamp. Of course, Sam denies everything but it’s clear that he’s lying.
As for Dean, he and all vampires are taken over by visions from the Alpha vamp. This is Boris’ chance to set the vampires in the nest on Dean, but Dean is able to overpower them all.
With Boris’ blood, Dean is cured. However, he’s also overcome by visions from when he was a vampire. That’s when he sees that Sam watched Boris turn him. However, when he’s cured, he simply tells everyone that there’s an army of vampires growing and they’re not afraid of hunters.
