Four John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum parallels you may have missed
Whether the connection between John Wick and Bruce Lee is intentional or not is unclear, but the influence is undeniable.
Before getting to how awesome Bruce Lee is, and how closely aspects of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum resemble the master, there is something to be said about the action in this film.
John Wick ups the body count and the action with each sequel. By the tenth installment it should surpass the length of Avengers: Endgame and the body count of all Rambo movies combined.

There is an absolutely brilliant knife fight scene in this film that is probably the best in cinema history – which is saying a lot considering all the Asian influences like The Man from Nowhere – but there is a confirmed connection to a motorcycle scene from The Villainess.
As it turns out, Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski saw the movie before filming John Wick, and thought it was too awesome to exclude. They both wanted to include the motorcycles-with-swords-scene as an ode to the film crew behind The Villainess, and ensure their version upped the ante to a certain degree.
Those who have seen both films undeniably have to provide a Chuck Norris thumbs up. Not only is there a motorcycle sword battle that deserves its own sequel movie, there is also hand-to-hand combat and gun-fun involved. When a punch or a kick doesn’t properly supplement the slice of a katana, a head shot finishes the job and sends motorcycles and/or bodies flying like the source material ninja stars.
