The 100: Did Diyoza survive the anomaly or not?

The 100 saw Diyoza and Octavia head into the anomaly, but only one came out. We still don’t know what happened to Octavia, but did Diyoza survive or not?

At the end of The 100 Season 6, Episode 8, Diyoza and Octavia both went into the anomaly. Only one came out. Episode 9 didn’t really tell us what happened to Octavia inside the anomaly, but Gabriel’s thoughts may suggest what happened to Diyoza.

There are many wondering whether Diyoza died. That would be the simplest explanation for what happened in there, but I don’t think it’s going to be the case. After all, a character like Diyoza deserves a far better exit than that. (Mind you, this is The 100 and we know characters don’t get just endings.)

Gabriel’s thoughts about what happened to Octavia in there seem to suggest what may be happening to Diyoza. He noted that Octavia’s hair is cleaner and possibly longer. While it was just a few seconds to us, he thinks Octavia was there for much longer. Time runs differently within the anomaly.

So, we jump to what happened to Diyoza. A young girl led her into the anomaly, one that I’m assuming is her future daughter. Will she give birth to her daughter somewhere within the anomaly and then come back out with this, what looked like a, six-year-old?

That’s entirely possible. Ivana Miličević was never promoted to series regular for the sixth season. It suggests she was always supposed to be a recurring guest star with the idea of writing her out at some point during this season. After all, she’s somewhat redeemed herself for her past actions towards the end of The 100 Season 5 and the beginning of Season 6. With that arc done, it’s time to move on.

There’s a high chance that her daughter is going to come out of that anomaly. Maybe she’ll have an aged Diyoza with her, similarly to when Connor came out of the other dimension with his “father” in Angel, or maybe not. Either way, we’ll either get a death onscreen in real-time or this daughter will be able to tell us what happened, similarly to the way we found out about Monty and Harper in the Season 5 finale.
