Which movie did you catch in theaters this past weekend? The Lion King is the obvious winner, but let’s have a look at the other movies in the top 10 at the box office.

Whether you loved it or didn’t, Jon Favreau’s The Lion King was going to come out winning at the box office. All Disney movies do. However, the sum it has gathered is extraordinary and unexpected.

Domestically, The Lion King takes home a massive $185 million. But guys, that’s just in the US. Internationally, the movie collected $346 million, this brings its total sum to a mind-blowing $531 million. The budget for the film isn’t known, but it doesn’t really matter. Everyone will be collecting some profits here.
