The Handmaid’s Tale saw June promise to get kids out of Gilead, a promise she may keep. Here are the five burning questions for Season 3, Episode 11.

Caution: There are spoilers for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3, Episode 10 if you haven’t see the episode yet. I’d suggest you get caught up first!

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3, Episode 10 left us with many burning questions. Those we thought we’d have for the finale were mostly answered during the episode. After a traumatic episode, it looks like there may be a little bit of hope but we’ve been left with more burning questions.

Next week’s episode is set to pick up a mission to get children out of Gilead. It looks like Commander Lawrence is even willing to help. Here are the five major questions for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3, Episode 11.

5. Will Fred agree to give America/Canada information

More from Hulu

Serena Joy seemed to offer Fred a way out, a chance to start anew without Gilead. This way out could even lead to them getting Nichole back. She’s told him about the phone, the man in America who is willing to help get them out.

Fred could make a deal, but would he be willing to do that? It would certainly mean safety for Nichole and a better future for his daughter, but it would also mean giving up so much. Fred would have to give up his position of authority. He’d have to give up the dream that he once had. Is he willing to do that?

4. Will Commander Lawrence really help?

June knew that she would need help from someone powerful when The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 began. It looks like there is that chance. After being forced to go through the monthly ceremony, he offered June contraception and then told her he’d get the bus for her. He’s going to help get the children out, but she has to get his wife out at the same time.

Will he actually help? Is there a chance he’ll negate on his offer? This is a man who seems to want Gilead but doesn’t at the same time. He belittles women, but he also wants to keep his wife safe. He’s a hard man to crack and I’m not convinced he’ll help June.

3. Will the Resistance really help?

At the end of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3, Episode 10, we learned that marthas had said yes. They will help to get the children out. However, what’s not clear is whether it’s the Resistance agreeing to work. What if these are just the odd marthas working within the Resistance?

We’ve already heard that the Resistance doesn’t like moving people. Plus, June has burned most of her bridges within the Resistance. What are the chances that she’ll find out too many are actually against her?

Maybe there’s no need for the Resistance to help. Remember that June picked five women to become marthas instead of heading to the Colonies. There’s a chance one of them could help.

2. Will we head back to Canada

There was hope that we’d go back to Canada in The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3, Episode 10. We’ve gone two episodes now without a look at what’s going on in Canada. The last we left, Moira and Emily were bonding over their shared experiences in Gilead.

Will we end up seeing them again in Episode 11? The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 has finally made Canada an integral part of the storyline but still doesn’t seem to know what to do. I would love to see more of Emily reconnecting with her wife and son or more of Moira’s work in Gilead. There’s a chance the two can help Gilead from the outside, but we need to head there to see that happen.

1. Is Commander Lawrence’s number marked?

I really felt for both June and Mrs. Lawrence in The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3, Episode 10. At a point, I felt somewhat sorry for Joseph Lawrence. None of them wanted to go through with the ceremony but they had to. It was a test, and fortunately, they both passed.

The question is whether it was enough. Do Winslow and Fred really believe that Commander Lawrence went through with the ceremony properly? They must have heard some of the shouting! It’s not like Eleanor was that quiet!

It looks like Lawrence’s number is marked. How long do he, Eleanor, June, and the others have left?
