As Tori convinces the gang to sign onto the reboot, BH90210 unleashes a new threat on the gang. Who sent those creepy dolls?

Life imitates art imitates life imitates Beverly Hills, 90210… if that makes any lick of sense. The second episode of BH90210, summer’s highest-rated debut hit series, finds the crew mulling over the possibility of a reboot of their iconic series per Tori’s grand idea to capitalize on the nostalgia boom and honor her father’s legacy. But corralling the gang, and all of their recent dramas, to sign on for the new series proves difficult — and as shocking as the original 90210.

While breaking her back to bend to the demands of each of her cast members, Tori spearheads the reboot pitch to FOX, where the gang runs into an old friend from the past who’s gained much more power.

Meanwhile, between affairs, stalkers, and the impending arrival of Shannen, the gang has a full plate made fuller (and creepier) by the mysterious delivery of mutilated dolls on their doorsteps. Who’s the culprit? Let’s break it all down with this week’s five most shocking BH90210 moments.

1. Tori gets the gang back together.

Thanks to her drunken thievery in Las Vegas (hey, she was taking back Donna’s dress!), Tori lands the whole crew in court, where she’s slapped with a $100,000 fine to the dress’ owner and they all receive community service. Coincidentally, their brush with the law proves opportunistic for Tori, as she pitches the idea of a 90210 reboot to her former castmates.

None of them are particularly thrilled by the possibility, even her ride-or-die Jennie. Nevertheless, she persists. Each of them warm up to the reboot, realizing their motivations for going back to their start. You know what they say: The cast that goes to court together, stays together. Success!

2. Jason’s not the father?

Shocker! Jason, who’s a father of two in real life, was apprehensive about becoming a father with his wife/publicist Camille (Vanessa Lachey). And by some stroke of (bad?) luck, his apprehensions weren’t entirely off base. Camille fakes pregnancy nausea to send off a mystery man, who’s revealed to be the father of her child and the writer of the 90210 reboot pilot. You know how we know the writer is the father? Before Jason’s meeting with the writer, Jason receives a phone call from his doctor regarding fertility issues. The twisty tension in the air… it’s palpable, isn’t it?

3. Gabrielle tells her husband the truth.

Back in Las Vegas, Gabrielle kissed a girl, and she liked it. (There’s a Katy Perry song for everything, and that’s why we love her.) Well, she’s at least confused about it. When discussions about the reboot heat up, Gabrielle informs Tori that she will sign on under one condition: Andrea explores her sexuality.

She believes the series needs to be more inclusive, and that is severely and direly all too true. After joining the reboot, Gabrielle talks to her husband about Andrea’s storyline and what inspired the direction for her character. How will he react to her honesty?

4. Brian’s stalker makes more moves.

The BH90210 gang probably isn’t unfamiliar with stalkers, on and off screen. And in this alternate reality, they’re dealing with a young man who’s obsessed with the cast and is in possession of Brian’s wallet. From his ID to his insurance cards, this kid has everything, and he’s using it all to his advantage to get as close as he can to his idol(s).

The stalker takes photos of Brian’s argument with Shay (La La Anthony) and other moments, but his application to become Brian’s assistant raises eyebrows. He could be dangerous or capable of sending the cast mutilated dolls.

5. Who sent the mutilated dolls?

In the episode’s closing montage, Brian opens his front door to find a box with his name on it containing the David Silver doll from Tori’s presentation. The doll’s head falls off when he removes if from the box. Frightening, yeah? The remaining members of the gang each receive their own doll in some state of dismemberment.

Brian’s stalker obviously makes the list of suspects, and the gang will surely side-eye Shannen. But our money’s on Christine Elise, the former Emily Valentine and new FOX executive. Clearly, this juicy, meta reboot’s still just getting started.

What do you think, BH90210 fans? Who sent those horrifying dolls to the cast? Leave your predictions in the comments, and keep the conversation going until the next new episode!

BH90210 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on FOX.
