Which movie did you catch in theaters this weekend? Good Boys take over the top 10 countdown at the box office!

The Angry Birds Movie 2 aimed high, but surprisingly underperformed with a low $10.5 million, settling for No. 4, which is very low for a family animated sequel. This is nearly four times less than what the original did back in May 2016, according to Cinemablend. Did you check the movie out in theaters or will you be waiting for when it arrives to streaming?

With a budget of $65 million, Angry Birds 2 has a long way to go to make any profit. Let’s give Angry Birds 2 a chance, though. We still need to see international numbers. We will check back next week on its progress.

Also new at the box office is 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, another sequel, but only by name here. You’ll find this one at No. 6 with $9 million. Fortunately, Uncaged only took about $12 million to put together, Box Office Mojo reports. You would think shark movies would be the most popular during the summer, but it’s still not a terrible total.

The champ here are the box office is Good Boys, which you’ll easily spot at No. 1 with $21 million. Worldwide, the movie now has a total of $23.1 million, and its budget was only $20 million — it’s a winner already.

That’s not all, though. Good Boys takes more than one win here! For starters, this is a great amount for an R-rated comedy, but the movie has also achieved the biggest opening weekend for a comedy this year, Complex reports.
