Critical Acclaim: The movie wouldn’t perform well with the audiences, gaining just a 50% score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the critics were more favorable about it, offering a 74% score and making it Certified Fresh.
About the Role: In Ghostbusters, Hemsworth plays the secretary, Kevin Beckman. His role is pretty simple: answer the phones and look pretty doing it. Of course, he adds some humor along the way.
Simply the Best: Ghostbusters as a movie was a flop, but this isn’t about the movie as a whole. It’s about Chris Hemsworth’s performance. Hemsworth steps into the role of the secretary in this gender-switch reboot, a role once played by Annie Potts. It was an excellent portrayal of the slightly dimwitted secretary, who was just there for a job that he couldn’t even do that well. He added some excellent entertainment to the movie.
