6 Supernatural Season 6 episodes to watch over and over again
Looking to catch some of the strongest Supernatural Season 6 episodes in your rewatch? Here are the six you can watch over and over again.
You want to rewatch Supernatural Season 6, but you don’t necessarily want the lore-heavy episodes. You want something fun or something that focuses more on the individual character development. There are times that you want something that connects back to older seasons or is a filler, monster-of-the-week style episode.

Season 6 has a number of excellent episodes to choose from. It’s often viewed as one of the weaker seasons, but as you rewatch, you’ll find standout episodes that offer a lot of hope for the future.
There are three overall storylines throughout. It all starts with how and why Sam is back, along with him being soulless. Once that is dealt with, the Winchesters need to tackle the Mother of All Evil, Eve, and then there’s the problem of the Civil War in Heaven.
Most of the monster-of-the-week episodes have something bigger within the storyline. However, you can often overlook those bigger elements. For the most part, they don’t require any knowledge of what’s been going on before or what happens afterward.
Here are the six Supernatural Season 6 episodes you can rewatch over and over again.
Episode 4: Weekend at Bobby’s
Have you ever wondered what Bobby Singer does while the Winchesters are on their cases? He always seems to be there to answer the phone, pretending to be FBI, CDC, or something else that’s crazy. Or he’s there to offer help with the lore.
Well, “Weekend at Bobby’s” is an excellent look at just how much he’s needed. We get to see him help Rufus, work with Jody when he has bodies all over his house, and save a neighbor.
I love that this episode finally delved that little deeper into Bobby’s home life, especially after “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid.”

Episode 11: Appointment in Samarra
While this does connect to the Soulless Sam storyline, it’s also an excellent one to watch alone. Dean has the chance to learn more about life and death. He and Death make a wager. If Dean can be Death for just one day, Death will get Sam’s soul back.
Dean learns so much about destiny and the natural order with this episode. Sadly, these are lessons he tends to forget at times, but they’re important ones even for now. The dead have to die when they’re on Death’s list. And they should stay dead. If they don’t, there are all sorts of accidents afterward.
Episode 15: The French Mistake
You knew that this episode had to come up, right? “The French Mistake” is one of the strongest, most memorable episodes of Supernatural ever, let alone of the sixth season. Balthazar sends the Winchesters to an alternate dimension, one where magic doesn’t exist and they’re stars on a TV show.
We get to see Genevieve Padalecki back on our screens. Misha plays a hilarious version of himself. And even Eric Kripke guest stars in an episode. This is full of laughter and you don’t need to really understand the overall storyline playing in the background.
Episode 17: My Heart Will Go On
This is another one of those highly memorable episodes. Again, it involves Balthazar. He prevents the Titanic from sinking. Apparently, it’s because he hated the song and the movie, but we learn by the end there’s a bigger reason Castiel ordered the sinking of the ship. Yes, it’s connected to the overall storyline, but you can overlook that part for the enjoyment within the episode.
“My Heart Will Go On” is a chance to see Ellen Harvelle back, and she’s with Bobby. We also get to meet Fate and learn more about destiny and the natural order of things. It’s an episode that holds a lot of meaning even within our world.
Episode 18: Frontierland
After preventing the Titanic from sinking, the Winchesters head back in time to the Wild West. They need to kill a phoenix so they can kill Eve. This is the overall storyline mention. The actual episode is more of a monster-of-the-week format.
Dean and Sam get a chance to experience the real Wild West. More importantly, we get a connection back to the Colt. There’s no denying that you’ve always wanted to know more about Samuel Colt and his gun. While it’s not a lot, just a nod to the past seasons is enough to get fans excited about this episode.
Episode 20: The Man Who Would Be King
This is the only episode on the list that has a deep connection to the overall storyline of Supernatural Season 6. However, you’ll get away with watching it because it’s all narrated by Castiel. It’s a Castiel-centric episode. In fact, the first Castiel-centric episode of the entire series.
We get to see what he’s been up to all this time. Pieces of the puzzle in the previous episode lock into place. We see Castiel as a soldier who just wants to hold Heaven together, even though it’s not going to be easy.
