Sebastian Roché is heading back to The CW in Batwoman. What do we know about his character so far? Here are the details right now.

There’s some great new for Balthazar fans. Well, sort of! Sebastian Roché is heading back to The CW, this time in Batwoman, the newest series in the Arrowverse. Just who will he play?

This is a recurring role in the series. Roché will play Gotham City’s plastic surgeon, Dr. Campbell. Will he be friend or foe? Well, he’s a well-known philanthropist in the city, but that doesn’t necessarily mean good, right? TVLine doesn’t give away whether he’ll be a good or bad guy, so it looks like we’ll be watching for the details.

More from Supernatural

In fact, that’s all we get to learn about the character and Roché’s role. Deadline, which reported the news exclusively, doesn’t say the number of episodes he’ll be in. A recurring role could be anything from two episodes to the full season but not classed as a series regular. There is sometimes the option to move into a series regular role based on the storyline or the fan reaction to the character.

Roché does have a habit of playing villains or the questionable characters. We just have to look at Supernatural‘s Balthazar to see how he can be a menace but a loveable menace who wants to do the right thing in the end. Then you have his roles of Mikael in The Vampire Diaries/The Originals or Martin Heusmann in The Man in the High Castle to see him in more of a villainous role.
