In this sequel of the best ever made TV show, Aaron Paul, after so many years, has returned as Jesse Pinkman and he is rough, raw and relentless.

In the last episode of Breaking Bad season 5, we saw Pinkman, in the end, speeding a car escaping from Uncle Jack and his gang of Nazis having long hair and a medium scruffy beard. Well, nearly 10 years later, he remains persistent and looks exactly the same because the story of El Camino starts off well where the Breaking Bad series ended.

Now the movie is streaming on Netflix and people have already watched it, let’s review El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie and better not compare it with Breaking Bad because we should not watch it that way.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie review – Acting and direction

We have seen the character of Jesse Pinkman starting as a junkie in the show and watched him evolve as a person throughout when the series ended. He is totally unpredicted and lives a roller coaster life. We love him that way only. In El Camino, Aaron Paul left no stone unturned to bring the same old Jesse back to the screen. You see Jesse’s real fear of being tortured by the gang of neo-Nazis when he reminisces about the same.

His damaged beyond repair character gives the exact old vibes. Aaron Paul is raw and valorous in this epilogue of Breaking Bad series. He carries the entire movie on his shoulder and gives a satisfying ending which he always deserved.

Vince Gilligan has weaved the story of El Camino perfectly to give the proper ending of Jesse Pinkman’s character. In this extension of Breaking Bad show, you will see Jesse’s escape plan from Albuquerque where he is the most wanted and how he successfully executes that. Vince Gilligan is the person who helped us gain good memoirs with Breaking Bad show. When I heard that the movie of Breaking Bad is also going to be of his own work, I had a sigh of relief.

Vince has himself written the screenplay and the script of the El Camino movie and he excels in his department although, at one point when I saw fat Todd, it felt like the movie is not taking place in that very era which is quite obvious but he couldn’t do anything more. The climax of the movie leaves the audience with happy faces. Every Breaking Bad show fans wanted to know what happened with Jesse Pinkman after airing of the last episode of the show. Well, after many years, we finally have answers. The people will love to know the whereabouts of Jesse Pinkman now.

This movie has many moments that will make the audience fall in love with Jesse’s character even more than before. However, it is better to not compare the movie with Breaking Bad show because perfection cannot be surpassed. It is just storytelling of Jesse Pinkman journey after escaping the Jack and his gang, watch it that way, you will love it. Bid Jesse final adieu because he is now smiling. To bid farewell to the most loved character – Jesse Pinkman

We cannot deny the fact that the character of Jesse Pinkman was adored by the audience more than Mr. White’s. His reckless and being true to himself character prepossess millions of fans. With the ending of Breaking Bad show, we get to know the end life of Walter White which was tragic and I was literally on the verge of tears. But I did not have the urge to know what actually happened with Jesse Pinkman.

El Camino is the movie of Jesse Pinkman and centered only on his journey of making things right for himself. It is truthful and worth watching how he plans a decent farewell for himself.
