Halloween is a big deal on Bob’s Burgers, especially for the Belcher kids. Looking at Pig Trouble in Little Tina and others, which one dresses the best?
Every year, Bob’s Burgers does something special for Halloween and it shows in the progression of the episodes. While Bob’s favorite holiday is Thanksgiving, it’s clear that Linda and the kids enjoy Halloween. Maybe not as much as they enjoy Christmas, but they’re always down to have fun. Mostly, it’s fun to see what kind of costumes that Bob’s Burgers staff comes up with for each of the kids.
Since Halloween is here for the Belcher crew, it’s only right that we show some appreciation to the Bob’s Burgers staff but the Belcher kids, too. Since the beginning, they’ve dressed up in some pretty inventive costumes and it’s time that we figure out which Belcher dresses up the best for Halloween. Of course, this is only my opinion but I’d love to know which Belcher sibling you think has the best Halloween costumes.
There will be spoilers from this week’s Bob’s Burgers episode, “Pig Trouble in Little Tina,” but also spoilers from all of the previous Halloween episodes. If you haven’t watched, this is your spoiler warning!

With that out of the way, let’s get into the costumes and see which Belcher is the best of the best.
Starting off with Tina, she has worn the least amount of costumes so she’s a good character to start with. In Season 3, Tina was dressed up as a mommy mummy while in Season 4, the kids planned on dressing up as a dragon. For Season 5, Tina didn’t dress up and in Season 6’s “The Hautening,” none of the kids dress up. Moving onto Season 7, Tina dressed up as a “Sand-Witch” and in Season 8, Tina dresses up as Mom-bie, a zombie version of Linda.
Moving onto Tina’s last two costumes, she dressed up as nun of your business for Season 9 and last but not least is Season 10. For Season 10, Tina didn’t dress up. As good as Tina’s costumes were, she didn’t dress up nearly as enough to be crowned the best dressed Belcher. Since Tina is 13 though, it isn’t surprising that she didn’t dress up every year.

The race is now between Louise and Gene so let’s start with our favorite middle child. For Season 3, Gene dressed up as Queen Latifah from her UNITY phase and as mentioned, they didn’t get to dress up for Season 4. In Season 5, Gene dressed as Turner and Hooch while Season 6 didn’t feature costumes. As for Season 7, Gene didn’t dress up while in Season 8, he was dressed as a bunch of grapes. In Season 9, Gene was dressed as Andre 3000 the Giant and in Season 10’s “Pig Trouble in Little Tina,” he is dressed as Fiona Apple Sauce.
Moving onto Louise, she has a history of basing her costumes off movies. For Season 3, she was Edward Scissorhands while Season 4 was their dragon idea. In Season 5, Louise dressed as Ryan Gosling from Drive and in Season 6, no one dressed up. In Season 7, Louise didn’t dress up while in Season 8, she was Anton Chigurh from No Country for Old Men. Wrapping up, she was the dragon with the girl tattoo for Season 9. For Season 10’s “Pig Trouble in Little Tina,” Louise is dressed as the Bjorn identity.
Looking at both Gene and Louise’s costumes, they both have huge imaginations and aren’t afraid to take a risk for their costumes. Unfortunately, only one can reign supreme and for me, it has to go to Gene. Gene’s costumes are always so punny and unique, ones that no one would ever think of. Most of Louise’s costumes are from movies so that kind of docked some points for creativity.
Of all the Belchers, Gene is the best dressed in his Halloween costumes. No doubt it’s an honor that Gene would happily accept. Just for fun though, I’m going to pick my favorite costumes that each of the kids wore. For Tina, my favorite has to be nun of your business while for Gene, it’s Andre 3000 the Giant and Louise as the dragon with the girl tattoo.
