Supernatural Season 15: Is that really it for [Spoiler]?

We knew deaths were coming in the Supernatural final season. Is that really the send-off one particular character is getting?

We’re three episodes into the final season of Supernatural, and the deaths have already started to happen. Episode 3 saw the end of three characters, two of which we’ve come to love—or, at least, tolerate.

One of the deaths certainly brought the emotions. Yes, we’re talking about Rowena, who I’d suggested would die just based on the images for the episode. However, there was another death I wasn’t quite expecting at this point. And I have to question whether it’s the real end.

It’s all about Ketch. After waking up in the hospital, he knew he needed to get back to the Winchesters to help in any way he could. The demon Ardat had other plans. She wasn’t happy that he’d failed to kill Belphegor, so she ripped out his heart in front of him.

In a way, the ending was fitting. There was always the view that Ketch didn’t really have a heart, and here we were, proven wrong. But is that really going to be it?

One thing we do know is that Ketch went to Rowena in the past for help avoiding death. She gave him the same spell as she’s used on herself. While it’s clear there are only a limited number of revivals, it’s not clear how many Ketch gained and how many he used.

During the episode, Rowena had to remove her last item to bring her back from the dead. She knew that she couldn’t cheat her way out of her sacrifice. This could be a clue that Ketch isn’t 100% dead dead. He could have still had a revival left over and that could mean bringing him back at some point in the final season.

However, there aren’t many episodes left. Rowena removing her last item could have been a hint that Ketch had none left. There isn’t time to bring him back into the show for an episode. After all, there are many other characters still to return.

By the looks of David Haydn-Jones’ Instagram post, it looks like we’ve seen the last of Ketch.
