9-1-1 Season 3 delivered its most memorable episode yet. The job of one of our own is on the line after a major crash. Will [spoiler] lose their job?

Caution: There are spoilers from 9-1-1 Season 3, Episode 8 in this post. If you haven’t watched all the way to the end, you need to check it out immediately.

Wow, what an episode 9-1-1 Season 3, Episode 8 was, right? At first, it seemed like a standard episode, until the very end. Now it looks like one of our own’s job is on the line.

The episode saw Hen driving the ambulance to the hospital after a callout. With a patient in the back, getting to the hospital was a major priority, and she used a button in the truck to turn the lights at an intersection. It was supposed to allow her to safely pass through, but a young girl coming through the intersection drove through and was T-boned by Hen.

Now, it’s clear that Hen’s job is on the line. And by her reaction, she may think that she deserves to lose her job after the events of the crash.

The question is whether she was in the wrong. It’s easy to say she wasn’t as a fan of her. We want her to be in the right. Of course, with her sirens and it did look like the light changed color in time, she should have had right of way.

When you look at the young girl going through the intersection, it looked like she wasn’t paying attention. A car in the lane next to her had stopped. This young girl should have too, but is it fair to blame the victim? Well, maybe if she was in the wrong when it came to the lights.

However, it’s all going to come down to Hen using that button. Was she in the right to use it? Did she use it in time? Did she make sure she had the green light, because she certainly didn’t come to a controlled stop heading through that junction?

Athena did the right thing pulling Hen away from the situation. She knows that there’s an investigation coming and it’s going to see Hen suspended for the time being. This investigation means going through the crash over and over again. There will also be the need to look at the cameras at the intersection to see who had the green light.

It’s distressing for Hen, but she needs to think about the facts right now. It doesn’t matter what she thinks happened or what her emotions are telling her. She needs to make sure she sticks to the facts that she knows, otherwise she’s sure to lose her job.

I have a feeling that this case is something that will go on for at least the next couple of episodes. I’m not even sure if we’ll get to know the outcome before the winter break. With two episodes left until the break, I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re left wondering about the future until March 2020.
