In the latest episode of Riverdale, Archie enlists an unlikely ally to take down Dodger as Cheryl receives an unexpected guest and Jughead unravels a mystery.

Even though we’ve lamented that Archie has become the least compelling and most predictable character on Riverdale, he continues his pursuit of vigilantism against Dodger. Despite his efforts moonlighting as the town’s undercover superhero, Archie can’t keep the neighborhood kids at his community center from falling under Dodger’s dangerous influence. In a last ditch effort, he turns to the least likely ally for help, which could, unfortunately, really only mean Hiram.

Meanwhile in the latest episode of Riverdale, Jughead keeps chipping away at the strange mystery wrapped in the Baxter Brothers books, which could in turn reveal details about his own disappearance (or death). Betty, too, tackles a mystery that surrounds Charles and his secret past, while Veronica’s left reeling with a shake-up at the Lodge residence thanks to Hermosa’s surprise arrival. Finally, Cheryl and Toni entertain unexpected, possibly haunting visitors at the increasingly creepy Thistlehouse. Hello, Julian, is that you?

How will Veronica protect herself from Hermosa, and does Betty’s inquiry into Charles past drudge up any dirt? Who’s breaking down the Thistlehouse door? Has Julian returned to rattle Cheryl?
