The Winchesters have to deal with a demon they exorcized four years earlier in Supernatural Season 7, Episode 15. Meanwhile, Hallucifer returns to make Sam’s life a misery. Here’s a look back at everything that happened in “Repo Man.”
A flashback to the past
We start in the past, where a possessed Jeffrey is tied up in a devil’s trap. Witch Nora Havelock arrives, and Jeffrey knows that she helped the Winchesters. However, she’s too late to help his latest victim.

Nora heads back to the Winchesters, who are debating over their next steps as they continue their quest to find Lilith. However, while they do that, Jeffrey gets control of his body again. It’s much harder to even consider torturing the human.
When the demon takes over again, the Winchesters torture him to get the information they need and then exorcise the demon. Jeffrey is taken to the hospital for help.

Back in the same town
In the present day, the Winchesters are in the same town. While Dean is on the phone to Frank Devereaux, Sam sees and hears Hallucifer but refuses to acknowledge him. Instead, he presses on the scar on his hand until the hallucination disappears.
The Winchesters are in town because the current case is too similar to the demon they dealt with four years ago. While the demon would have struggled to escape, it’s clear the Winchesters have unfinished business.
While dealing with the case, Hallucifer continues to show up. Sam keeps trying to get rid of the hallucination, ignoring him every step of the way.
Throughout the case, they turn to people who helped them last time. More specifically, they turn to Nora, who has a freshly painted devil’s trap in the doorway of her magic store. She’s also leaving town for a few errands, but does ask if the Winchesters have found Jeffrey.
The Winchesters pay Jeffrey a visit
Unsurprisingly, Sam and Dean head to find Jeffrey, who was in group therapy. With a splash of holy water and a show of Ruby’s knife, the Winchesters make sure the demon hasn’t possessed the same host. They’re all clear, but Jeffrey is definitely upset that the Winchesters are back.
However, Jeffrey may be able to help. The demon would repeat a list of victim’s names, so Jeffrey wants to know who the latest one is. He then sends them to Marjorie Willis, who will be next. While Sam heads out to look for Marjorie, Jeffrey tells Dean that the demon had a nest.
You know the nest was a trap, right? When Jeffrey and Dean head there and go to release a young man who is tied up, Jeffrey plunges a syringe in Dean’s neck.
Hallucifer helps break the case
While at the library watching Majorie, Hallucifer shows up. Sam tries to ignore him, but Hallucifer brings up an important point. Why would there be tranquilizers in the victims’ blood. It doesn’t take Sam too long to figure out that Dean is in trouble (thanks to Hallucifer, of course).
By the time Sam heads to Jeffrey’s room at the halfway house, Dean and Jeffrey are gone. However, he does find a Latin demon summoning spell and recognizes Nora’s handwriting. When he goes to the store, Nora attacks him. Jeffrey has her son as leverage to make her help him summon the demon back.
We also find out why Jeffrey lured the Winchesters back to town. Nora’s spell requires the blood of the exorcist, which was Dean.
Jeffrey had sent Nora her son’s ear, which she can use to track where Jeffrey and Dean are. Before they can get there, Jeffrey has already killed his therapy rescue dog and taken Dean’s blood. He summons the demon but it looks like everything has failed. That is until Nora’s son breaks from the chains. The demon has possessed Nora’s son.
It turns out the demon is a talent scout. He looks for people with evil in their hearts. Jeffrey no longer needs the demon to do the dark work he was born to do. However, Nora’s son has little to work with so he’ll burn off the suit.
Sam and Nora get there in time for Nora to exorcize the demon again and save her son. Meanwhile, Dean shoots Jeffrey and kills him.
At the very end, Sam has another vision of Hallucifer. This time when he presses his scar, nothing happens. By talking to Hallucifer earlier in the episode (“He said shut up to me”), Sam won’t be able to use his tricks anymore.
