Castle Rock exclusive clip: Lizzy Caplan talks becoming Annie in bonus features

Lizzy Caplan became Annie Wilkes in Castle Rock Season 2. Parts of us wanted to root for her despite knowing everything that Annie would become in Misery, and despite feeling so uneasy about her throughout the 10-episode season.
Before you know it, Castle Rock Season 2 will be available to purchase on Digital and DVD. There’s a ton of exciting bonus material, and one of them involves Caplan and Executive Producer Dustin Thomason discussing what it was like developing this character.

Caplan shares finding a rhythm for Annie, getting into that personality and state of mind. If you thought it was uncomfortable watching it, can you imagine trying to portray it? There wasn’t an ounce of Caplan within the character, but how long did she have to stay in that character between takes to keep it?
Well, it turns out that she switched between herself and the role. There was no way that she would want to keep the character going outside of work, and we can’t really blame her.
And what about the development of the character? With so much source material, it wasn’t that hard.
