To add to the excitement, this event will be filmed at the original soundstage at Warner Bros. Studio in Burbank with executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane returning to work their magic behind the scenes once more. Ben Winston will serve as director, with his credits including director for several One Direction music videos and their documentary, as well as writer forThe Late Late Show with James Corden.

The Friends reunion special will join all 236 episodes from the series on the HBO Max after the show’s dramatic exit from Netflix at the end of 2019. But to prepare fans for the reunion, TBS will air every Friends episode for the next four weeks between 10am and 4pm on weekdays.

The cast members are said to each be earning $2.5 million for their appearances, though they are not expected to be in character for what is speculated to be an hour-long feature. Nonetheless, Friends fans of all ages are highly anticipating what will happen when the cast reunites on-screen for the first time since the series concluded its ten-season run in 2004.

I was only an infant when the series first aired, but having access to reruns on TBS and Netflix helped me fall in love with the pop culture icons. I don’t think I can ever move a piece of furniture again without yelling, “Pivot!”

The legacy of Friends will live on for years to come via HBO Max so that future fans will understand why, “They don’t know that we know they know we know.”
