Legacies: Claire Holt says she would love to play Rebekah Mikaelson again

During a recent Q&A on her Instagram, actress Claire Holt said she would be happy to cameo as Rebekah Mikaelson on Legacies in the future.

Claire Holt, best known for her memorable role as Rebekah Mikaelson on The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, did a quick Q&A on her Instagram story last night, and fans should be happy to note that the actress hasn’t ruled out doing a cameo on Legacies. One fan asked her if she would be willing to appear on the spin-off show. In response, Holt shared an old photo of herself and actor Nathaniel Buzolic (who played her brother Kol Mikaelson on both parent shows).

“Of course. Always down to play this gal again,” Holt wrote.

The first question she answered asked who her favorite character to play was, and she answered Rebekah! That’s another good sign since Holt has portrayed several great characters.

However, none of this means Holt is for sure going to pop up on Legacies, but it’s nice to know that she’s open to the possibility. She wouldn’t be the first Vampire Diaries alum to appear on the show. Matt Davis is starring in a  series regular role.  Other characters like Matt Donovan, Jeremy  Gilbert, and Freya Mikaelson have all appeared as well.

But Rebekah would be extra special since she has always been a fan-favorite character and was arguably the closest sibling to Klaus. It would be nice to see her and Hope share a moment or two on the show. It would mean a lot to fans.

So while Holt’s indication that she’d be open to stepping back into Rebekah’s shoes again is a good sign, we shouldn’t get our hopes up too high just yet. Then again, in this television climate, anything is possible. Perhaps we could see the “Original Barbie” make a return in season three of Legacies? Let’s cross our fingers.
