There’s Something About Mary (1998)
Ted Stroehmann (Ben Stiller) is a nerdy high school kid who can’t believe his luck when he gets popular girl Mary Jensen (Cameron Diaz) to attend the prom with him. It seems luck has a funny way of changing when Ted has an embarrassing incident before the event that puts in a whirl of doom.
Fast forward over a decade later, Ted cannot forget about Mary, even at age 29. Still determined to make sure his last memory with her is erased and replaced with something more fond, the character hires Pat Healy (Matt Dillon), a PI who will find Mary. The sly Healy finds she is living in the Miami area, but veers from the initial plan when he starts to develop an interest in her.

Healy deceives Ted and tries to pursue Mary himself, all while encountering a supposed architect named Tucker (Lee Evans) who’s also in love with her. Fed up with Healy, Ted drives down to Florida to find Mary himself but gets tripped up by foolishly picking up some random person off the side of the road.
When Ted finally gets there, he finds Mary and they hit it off again. Unfortunately, he realizes she has many interested bachelors vying for her affection, which creates a messy situation. To top it off, the PI he hired attempts to turn the tables on him! Among the other suitors aside from the bumbling Ted include Healy, Tucker, ex-boyfriend Dom (Chris Elliott), and NFL QB Brett Favre. It’s a hilarious mess as all these men fight for the love of one girl, as there’s something about that Mary!
Zoolander (2001)
Whimsical male model Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) is reaching a “washed-up” period in his career after another model named Hansel (Owen Wilson) has claimed his throne at the top. To add insult to injury, a reporter named Matilda (Christine Taylor) bashes Zoolander in a story.
With nowhere to go to, the helpless model is instead swindled into a slow plan that will make him kill a prime minister by a fashion kingpin named Mugatu (Will Ferrell). This will be done by putting him a controlled trance.
Now, Hansel and Zoolander, who are rivals on the stage, become partners in crime. They must thwart the evil Mugatu’s plan before a murder is committed either by Zoolander or anybody else. Watch as these two models hilariously try to expand their talents to include crime-solving!
Zoolander 2 released in 2016 after a 15-year gap.
