Did you fall in love with the Pogues? After the Season 1 cliffhanger, here are three burning questions for Season 2 of Netflix’s Outer Banks.

This past weekend, I fell in love with the Pogues of Netflix’s Outer Banks. After binging all 10 episodes in one day, I’m ready to move to North Carolina and hang out with Pope, JJ, Sarah, Kiara, and John B. After the cliffhanger in the Season 1 finale, many fans can’t wait for Season 2.

Warning: This post will contain major spoilers for Outer Banks. If you have not caught up, don’t read this post until you have seen the show in its entirety on Netflix.

Outer Banks is about a group of teens living in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There are two distinct groups: The Pogues and the Kooks. The Pogues live on the blue-collar, working-class side of the island while The Kooks live on the rich side. The Pogues are led by John B, a teenager whose father went missing at sea for almost a year prior.

John B constantly hangs out with his three best friends, Kiara, JJ, and Pope. Things become complicated when John B falls for Sarah Cameron, a Kook. However, all five are brought together to help John B to help find a legendary treasure that consumed his father for the past 20 years.

Outer Banks is a teen drama, murder mystery, and treasure hunt all wrapped up into one show. It’s the perfect show for those looking for the next O.C.Riverdale, or Gossip Girl. Although Season 2 has not been confirmed, the show is immensely popular with teens and should be confirmed for a second season within the next few weeks. Here are three burning questions for Outer Banks Season 2.

Will John B and Sarah find the gold in The Bahamas?

As previously mentioned, John B and Sarah both survived the storm and were eventually rescued by a ship. Coincidentally, the ship is on its way to The Bahamas, which is where Ward sent the gold. Just when things looked like they were going to end for our young lovers, John B and Sarah are given a second chance to steal back the gold they found first.

However, it’s not going to be easy since they do not know where the gold is being stored nor do they know who will be protecting it. One of the show’s creators, Jonas Pate, stated that if Outer Banks Season 2 happens, some of the episodes will take place in The Bahamas so it’s safe to assume that finding the gold will be the focal point of the second season.

What happens to Ward Cameron?

If guilty people stood on the right and innocent people stood on the left, Ward would be so far on the right that we wouldn’t be able to see him. Ward is a stone-cold killer as he dumped John B’s unconscious father overboard and later tried to kill John B. Plus, he covered up Sheriff Peterkin’s murder. At the end of the Season finale, while out at sea, John B yells via radio that Ward killed his father and framed him for murder and that one day, he will seek vengeance. Because of John B’s speech, Deputy Shoupe tells Ward to hang around because they need to talk about John B’s accusations. Will Ward go to jail in Season 2? Because of his power in the community, expect Ward to avoid jail time and go after John B in The Bahamas.

When will the Pogues reunite and if so, where?

John B and Sarah may be at sea, but the rest of the Pogues are back in the Outer Banks. JJ, Kiara, and Pope were devastated when they learned the search party could not find their friends in the storm. However, we know that John B and Sarah survived. How will the duo communicate with their friends back in the Outer Banks? A reunion will most certainly happen at some point, but will it be in the Outer Banks, or will JJ, Kiara, and Pope travel to The Bahamas to meet up with John B and Sarah?
