The miniseries I Know This Much Is True continues on HBO tonight with Episode 2. Don’t want to miss it? We have all the details you need to know to be sure you don’t!

I Know This Much Is True is HBO’s latest hit drama series as fans can’t stop praising Mark Ruffalo’s emotional and impactful performance. If you missed the first episode of the miniseries, catch up on HBO Now, and please note there are spoilers ahead for the series premiere ahead.

The first episode of I Know This Much Is True introduces audiences  to Thomas and Dominick Birdsey (Mark Ruffalo takes on both roles), two twin brothers that couldn’t be more different. Thomas is a paranoid schizophrenic, and after a public breakdown, Dominick steps up to defend him, but there’s not much he can do for his brother as the breakdown was rather graphic.

This isn’t Dominick’s only problem, unfortunately, he is also emotionally dealing with a “fresh” breakup and is trying to get some of his grandfather’s work translated. Add the loss of his mother and you’ve got a very depressed and messed up man.

Ruffalo does an amazing job portraying both characters, making audiences feel their emotions through the screen. And the intensity is about to double in tonight’s all-new episode.

According to the network, Season 1, Episode 2 will see Dominick and his girlfriend Joy (Imogen Poots) struggling to agree on what to  do with Thomas as the media has taken an interest in his case. Dominick wants to be there for his brother, but he also doesn’t want to ruin his relationship with Joy.

The episode will focus mainly on Thomas’ case, though, as Dominick may have found some help to break him out of the institution from a social worker, but Thomas doctor won’t allow it. Episode 2 will also be digging into their past.

Will we learn who their father was, or, at the very least, get one step closer to the full truth? If you have read the novel, you know that there  will be some mysteries that won’t come to light until the very end. But it’s an interesting journey!
