Wynonna Earp: Is [Spoiler] really dead and in the alternate world?
Have we lost one of our favorites on Wynonna Earp Season 4?
Wynonna Earp Season 4 certainly packed a punch with its premiere, proving that it was more than worth the wait. However, it left us with one major question at the end of the episode.
Of course: There are spoilers in this post from the Wynonna Earp Season 4 premiere. If you haven’t caught it yet, then consider this your warning.

The premiere saw Wynonna in search for Waverly and Doc. Nicole agreed to team up with Wynonna, despite being angry about Wynonna drugging her. There were just more concerning problems at the time.
To get to Wavery and Doc in the Garden, the two needed to open a doorway. That led to them finding a facility, where some zombies attacked. During the fight, Wynonna stepped on a grate. Knowing that only Wynonna could save Waverly, Nicole sacrificed herself to save Wynonna.
We were left with Nicole falling through the grate to who knows where. However, in the Garden, Nicole suddenly appears.
Is Nicole a ghost?
It seems suspicious timing. Just as Nicole fell through the grate, she ends up in the Garden. Is this a sign that Nicole has died? Has she somehow ended up in the Garden as some sort of ghost? Is this where she has to start before going to heaven?
It’s unclear how some of the lore works on Wynonna Earp, however, there’s something about Nicole’s appearance that doesn’t quite sit right. She had a huge grin while looking at Doc, and while naked. She looked far too happy to see Doc, but not in an excited “this means I’ve found Waverly” way.
I get the feeling Nicole isn’t dead. While she fell through the grate, there is a chance of survival. A person isn’t dead on TV until we see the body.
Instead, I get the sense that Waverly giving her blood has opened something she shouldn’t have done in the Garden. Will this bring someone like Lilith or the Serpent into the story?
Killing Nicole off would lead to an uproar, and the Wynonna Earp writers just aren’t that mean to us. They know how much Nicole/Waverly means to us. It’s one of the strongest parts of the entire show, and there are a lot of strong parts.
