It’s got a high-profile cast, the trailer has us intrigued, and the critics have praised the performances. Before you start watching the movie, you’ll want to know everything you can about it. Here are five things to know about The Devil All the Time.
Where to watch The Devil All the Time
The movie is now available to stream on Netflix. However, if you want to head to theaters, there are some locations where it is airing. It got an extremely limited release, though, so you’ll want to check first. Of course, what’s the point heading to theaters when you can just watch with Netflix?
It’s billed as a Netflix Original. That means it should be on Netflix to stay.

This is one of those movies where everyone is talking about the cast. It showcases a number of actors in roles you’re not used to seeing them in, especially Robert Pattinson as a reverend who isn’t as good as he would initially seem.
Tom Holland is the man you want to look out for. He plays Arvin Russell, who wants to bring goodness back to a town that is surrounded in sin.
Bill Skarsgård, Riley Keough, Sebastian Stan, and Mia Wasikowska are also among the high-profile cast.

Netflix released the official trailer for The Devil All the Time on Aug. 13. It certainly immediately got us talking about the psychological thriller.
The Devil All the Time synopsis
The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Donald Ray Pollock. It focuses on Arvin Russell, who wants to fight the evil forces that threaten him and his entire family. These evil forces include an unholy preacher, a crooked sheriff, and a twisted couple.
Everything is against him. However, he will stand up for what’s right, something his father potentially died doing.
It will be interesting to see how the movie plays out. The book is split into seven parts, telling individual storylines at different points in time.
Will there be a sequel?
I wouldn’t expect a sequel to this movie. Just looking at the cast, it’s unlikely they would all be able to get back together, even if it ends with them all being alive! Pattinson is Batman, Holland still has another Spider-Man movie to do, and many other actors have big projects coming up.
There isn’t any source material to continue the story. There isn’t the need for more to the story after the single novel.
