The Bachelorette is right around the corner for its 16th season, and fans are all more than ready to see Clare Crawley in the spotlight on her quest to find the one.

The highly-anticipated season was put on hold earlier this year due to safety concerns surrounding COVID-19, but ABC was fortunately able to enforce strict guidelines and the show was eventually filmed. Though we aren’t sure what exactly went down with Clare being rumored to have left early, along with Tayshia Adams’ reported involvement, we’re so excited for the show to return.

If the children in your life are looking forward to tuning into The Bachelorette when it premieres next month, you might want to know what the dating show is rated. Although it airs at a normal time slot on ABC, it isn’t exactly appropriate for all ages.

Is The Bachelorette okay for kids to watch?

According to IMDb, the reality series is rated TV-14. While there isn’t any nudity or profanity, there are references to sex multiple times throughout the show, along with the “Reality Suites” part of the competition, where the leading lady gets to decide if she will be sleeping with the remaining contestants.

Additionally, steamy make out sessions are frequently shown, and some mature content is discussed during dates, when contestants are urged to share their past traumas and experiences.

Overall, I would say The Bachelorette is definitely appropriate for teenagers, along with some preteens depending on their parent or guardian’s discretion.

What age group watches The Bachelor and The Bachelorette?

The fanbase for this franchise really does range in age. Mostly, I would say people in their 20s and 30s watch both shows, but they are certainly popular among a wide span of ages.
