Who’s at the top of the leaderboard in Week 4 of Dancing With the Stars?

Emotions filled the ballroom last night on Dancing With the Stars as the stars dedicated their performances to special people in their lives, and a mishap by host Tyra Banks almost sent the wrong duo packing.

With that being said, let’s recap the best dances of the night and see who found themselves at the top of the leaderboard in Week 4 of Dancing With the Stars.

More from ABC

1. Skai Jackson & Alan

Although Skai Jackson and her partner Alan would find themselves coming out on top in the first week of the competition, it’s been an uphill battle to reclaim that spot. Luckily, the duo would find their way back this week with a moving foxtrot to “Ordinary People” by John Legend, which Skai dedicated to her former Jessie co-star Cameron Boyce.

In their intro package, Skai and Alan would discuss Skai’s relationship with the deceased actor whom, Skai told Alan, was like a brother to her. Skai would tell Alan that Boyce looked out for her through everything, and as a result, helped to mold her into the person that she is today. So naturally, she wished to dedicate their performance to him.

Following their performance, judge Derek Hough would tell Skai that although he didn’t love their performance last week, this week’s dance was his favorite of the night. He would follow-up by calling the dance stunning and telling Skai that she was a gorgeous ballroom dancer. Carrie Ann Inaba would echo this sentiment through teary eyes, telling Skai that Boyce would be proud and that she danced like an angel.

Judge Bruno Tonioli would agree, calling the dance “the embodiment of grace and elegance.” When all was said and done, Skai and Alan would walk away with a score of 28 out of 30, receiving two nines and from Carrie Ann the first 10 of the season!

2. Kaitlyn Bristowe & Artem

This week, Kaitlyn Bristowe & Artem would find themselves climbing up one spot on the leaderboard thanks to their performance of the Viennese Waltz to “Beautiful Crazy” by Luke Combs. In their intro package, Kaitlyn would discuss the song with Artem, telling him that it’s a song that she and her boyfriend Jason Tartick dance to all the time.

She would then recount the beginning of her relationship with her fellow Bachelor Nation alum. Kaitlyn met Tartick on her podcast, Off The Vine. After having him on a second time, and realizing that sparks were there, Kaitlyn would take the initiative and ask him out.

In the package, Tartick would describe Kaitlyn as “electric,” “fun,” and “caring,” and Kaitlyn would dedicate this performance to him. Derek Hough would call it effortless and stunning, telling Kaitlyn that she’s getting better each week. Bruno would echo this sentiment, commenting on the grace of Kaitlyn’s movements due to the flexibility in her back and arms.

Carrie Ann Inaba would end the critiques by calling Kaitlyn an excellent dancer and telling her that she felt there was something special in her performance. With that, the judges would give their scores. Derek and Bruno would each award the duo eights while Carrie Ann would give them a nine, making their total for the week 25 out of 30.

3. Chrishell Stause & Gleb

Taking the final spot in the Top 3 for the week was Chrishell Stause and Gleb who would dance the foxtrot to “Adore You” by Harry Styles. Bruno Tonioli would praise the performance, although he would point out a moment during their dance when Chrishell stumbled.

Carrie Ann would compliment Chrishell’s ability to be aware of her body positioning but would caution her to watch her footwork.

Derek would complete the compliment train by commenting on how much more comfortable and confident Chrishell looked from her previous dances and saying that it was their best dance so far. When all was said and done, Chrishell and Gleb would receive sevens from Carrie Ann and Bruno with Derek awarding them an eight, making their total for the week of 22 out of 30.
