Could Leslie Odom Jr. be Serpent on The Masked Singer Season 4?

The Masked Singer Season 4 guessing game is on. It’s time to look at the Serpent clues to figure out who is under the mask.

Many fans, and Nicole Scherzinger, have guessed Leslie Odom Jr. We’re still on the fence about the Hamilton star, but some of the clues certainly fit. Let’s take a look at the clues to see if the guess is right.

History book, a Jr., and more

One of the clues that stands out is the history book. We all know Leslie Odom Jr. from Hamilton, the play that Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote about Alexander Hamilton. Odom Jr. played Aaron Burr (Sir), who would be the one to shoot and kill Hamilton at the end (look, that’s not a spoiler considering it’s literally history).

Another clue that stands out is how Serpent says that he’s Serpent Jr. Well, the clue is in Odom Jr.’s name. He’s not the first to carry that name in the family.

Is that it? Nope!

There are a few clues that could point to his character on Rent. One clue is about paying rent, which is an obvious connection, but there’s one that’s slightly less obvious. According to Good Housekeeping, there’s a chance that the #31118 clue could be a connection to the Bible verses Romans 3:11-18. This was written by Paul, and Odom Jr.’s character on Rent was Paul.

Then there’s the mention of scrubs, which connects to another character Odom Jr. has played. Nope, he’s not been on Grey’s Anatomy. He was a doctor on The Murder on the Orient Express.

There is a hint of Leslie Odom Jr. in the voice

We tend to listen carefully to the voices on The Masked Singer. This was how we instantly knew Rottweiler was Chris Daughtry and why we think Pink Crocodile is Nick Carter. There is a hint of Leslie Odom Jr. in Serpent’s voice.

Odom Jr. can definitely sing, both on stage and in the studio. And there are times that it sounds like Aaron Burr on Hamilton.

Again, though, we’re on the fence this one. We have a bit of a wait for more from Group B yet, so we’ll see what other clues are still to come.
