Breaking down the Supernatural Season 15, Episode 19 promo and synopsis

It’s time for the penultimate episode of Supernatural ever, but are we ready for it?

How are you feeling after the Nov. 5 episode, SPN Family? That was a hard one. There probably wasn’t a dry eye in the house after that sacrifice. And all those loses!

The Winchesters and Jack are in a rut. They feel like they’ve lost, but Chuck is still out there. He’s still ready to destroy this whole world, and it looks like he wants to leave the Winchesters and Jack last for punishment.

The penultimate (who says that?) episode is titled “Inherit the Earth,” which could give us a clue on how this will end. The full saying is “the meek shall inherit the Earth.” Is this a good sign?

Let’s take a look at the Supernatural Season 15, Episode 19 synopsis and promo to get ready for this upcoming, intense episode.

Before we get into the breakdown, here are the promo and synopsis for another look. We get teasery from here on out.

Everything is on the line as the battle against God (guest star Rob Benedict) continues. A familiar face returns to join the fight.

1. It’s the fight against God

It’s the moment we have all been waiting for. There was a moment where we started to wonder if Death was going to be the Big Bad after all, but nope, it’s definitely Chuck. He’s made everyone disappear.

Considering Chuck has previously said he’s sent people “away,” it suggests there’s a way to get them back. First, the Winchesters and Jack need to take down Chuck once and for all. Is there a way to do that?

2. Which familiar face is left to return?

The synopsis tells us that a familiar face is back. Who could that be? Humans were taken, and not just those from the Apocalypse World or those who were dead. Everyone is gone.

Dean mentioned a few people he’d tried to get in touch with in the previous episode. Michael was mentioned, and there’s certainly a chance he could come back. It would make sense. Put all three Winchesters back together and have an archangel working with a nephilim. (Remember, Michael and Adam are housed in one body).

It’s the most logical return I can think of at this point.

3. What’s with the dog?

Chuck hasn’t got rid of everything from the world. Dean has found a dog. It’s a throwback to Supernatural Season 8 when Sam hit a dog and lived with Amara. It could also be a throwback to when Dean drank the potion to communicate with dogs and became one.

Whatever it is, I have to question why this dog has shown up in the Supernatural Season 15, Episode 19 promo. How important is this dog to the big plan?

4. Jack senses something

Jack’s powers are back. Sort of. In the hideout in the previous episode, he was able to kill a plant.

Now he senses something. They are not the only beings left on the world. However, he doesn’t know what he senses or if this, whatever it is, will help them.

There are likely some clues here as to what will happen to Jack. Is he going to take over as God in the end?

5. Is there any point?

The Winchesters have gone back and forth on this for a long time. They’re angry that Chuck has written them all this time. They’re angry that free will has been a pipe dream.

But everything they have done has been for the innocent people in the world. Now there are no people left to save. At least, that’s what they believe. They don’t know that Chuck claims to have just sent people “away.”

The Winchesters aren’t even sure if there’s any point right now. What’s going to change their mind?
