Notable arrivals on HBO Max in December 2020
Of course, Wonder Woman is the big release of the month. It’s getting a theatrical release where they’re open, but for those who don’t have access to the movies right now or just don’t feel safe going, you can check it out from the comfort of your own home. This isn’t at an additional cost like Mulan was, either.

His Dark Materials Season 2 continues on a weekly basis on HBO and HBO Max in December 2020. The finale airs on Dec. 28, so get ready! We also can’t overlook the finale of The Flight Attendant on Dec. 17. You’ve caught the first three episodes and the mystery to unfold already, right?
The Photograph is an important movie to watch this month. Christina Eames is a famed photographer, but when she dies suddenly, her daughter, Mae has to pick up the pieces. Maw is angry, hurt, and full of questions. She starts looking into her mother’s life after finding a photograph in a safe-deposit box.
What’s leaving HBO Max in December?
Like notable arrivals, there are some notable exits from HBO Max in December 2020. If the kids haven’t watched it yet, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is leaving HBO Max at the start of the month. This is an excellent sequel where the bad guys may not actually be the bad guys!
The 2000 movie The Gladiator is also leaving. You’ll have watched it thousands of times, but make sure you get one more watch in before the year ends.
