5 – Jingle Jangle

The latest of the movie musicals on Netflix is the new Christmas film Jingle Jangle, which tells the story of a toymaker and inventor who lives in a fantastical Victorian-era town. With fantastical sets, all new songs, energetic ensemble dance numbers, and extra holiday magic, the new musical is a must-watch for theater lovers. And if you are a person who does love to sing along, Netflix also recently released a Jingle Jangle global sing-along video with the cast, fans, and celebrity surprises.

6 – White Christmas

The oldest movie on this list is the classic 1954 Irving Berlin musical, White Christmas. Starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen, this holiday musical follows the story of two friends who served in war together, and who follow two girls they have crushes on to a vacation resort that happens to be in danger of closing.

Though it has a lot in common with the musical Holiday Inn, White Christmas is not actually a sequel for the older movie. The Crosby and Kaye duo play characters who look to revive the resort by putting on a show for the guests.

7 – Shrek the Musical

What makes Shrek the Musical unique from the other musicals on Netflix is that this performance was a live recording of the Tony award-winning Broadway show on stage! The show had a 12-month run on Broadway, which ended in January 2010.

Luckily, this lovable ogre and his friends in the swamp live on thanks to this stream. The original songs, hilarious dance numbers, and creative costuming will make you fall in love with the animated film all over again.
