Yellowstone: Is 1883 on Peacock? (Where to stream 1883)

Yellowstone, the Paramount Network multi-generational drama focused on the Dutton family, is one of the most popular television shows airing.

The series follows the family’s fight to hold onto their land in the face of land developers trying to steal it, the bordering American Indian reservation seeking to reclaim their stolen territory, and Yellowstone National Park looking to expand their boundaries.

The show is set in modern times, but it’s in a never-ending battle with the past and the family’s history on the land, dating back to the 1800s. For fans of Yellowstone, its spinoff series1883 is a welcome sight as the Dutton’s history will now be fleshed out for viewers.

It’s a history that’s fraught with danger, informed by the past (in this case James Dutton’s time as a Confederate soldier and The Civil War in general), and with an eye toward manifest destiny and westward expansion.

1883 made its television premiere on Sunday, Dec. 19 after Yellowstone, but where can you stream it online?

Is 1883 on Peacock? (2023 update)

Unfortunately, 1883 isn’t available to stream on Peacock. While the platform is the streaming home for Yellowstone, 1883 is not available to stream on Peacock as of June 2023. 1883 is a Paramount+ original series which is why you’ll only find the Yellowstone spinoff on Paramount+ where it streams alongside fellow spinoff 1923. 

Given the popularity Yellowstone has had on Peacock, there is a chance Peacock might try to make a deal with Paramount for streaming rights to the show’s spinoffs; however, that would be highly unlikely due to the fact that the spinoffs are originals meant to stream exclusively on Paramount+.
