Who plays Sophie on This is Us?

Spoilers ahead of This Is Us season 6, episode 14

After almost six seasons, we’re finally going to see Kevin settle down with his true love. And who could that be? It’s Sophie! Last night’s This is Us delivered what all of us Kevin and Sophie shippers have been waiting for.

I’m going to tell you, I was a nervous train wreck going into last night’s episode. I think we all held onto the hope that it was finally the right time for this couple. But after what the writers did to Katoby (yes, I’m still bitter about that), I wouldn’t have been surprised if Kevin ended up with the wedding singer. Cue the eye roll.

If he and Cassidy were the couple meant to be, I could have accepted it, but the wedding singer was totally random. No worries though, everything is all good now. Even better than good! Kevin and Sophie will live happily ever after and they deserve it!

Who plays Sophie on This is Us?

The lovely actress who plays our beloved Sophie is Alexandra Breckenridge. Netflix fans will know her from the streaming service’s very popular show, Virgin River. Breckenridge plays leading lady, Melinda Monroe.

Before her Netflix hit, the 39-year-old began her career in supporting roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar and She’s the Man (I love her in this movie!). She also starred as a young Moira O’Hara in the first season of American Horror Story, and played Kaylee in the third season. The Walking Dead fans will also recognize her as Jessie Anderson.

We’ve only got four more episodes before we say goodbye to This is Us. Where has the time gone? Here’s to seeing some glimpses into Kevin and Sophie’s happy future before we close this final chapter!

New episodes of This is Us season 6 air Tuesdays, with the series finale set for May 24 on NBC.
