2. Ward Cameron in Outer Banks

Some dads do stupid things that put their children in danger. Ward Cameron makes choices that he knows will potentially put his children at risk. He doesn’t even care all that much if his children end up dead, especially when it comes to the promise of treasure.

Ward will do whatever it takes to protect himself. He’s a murderer and a master manipulator, and he isn’t apologetic for putting his own daughter in harm’s way.

We’re sure to see him do more terrible things throughout Outer Banks. This time, it will be a little harder considering he was nearly killed at the end of Season 2, but that won’t stop him.

1. Dan Scott in One Tree Hill

Some men just shouldn’t be fathers. Dan Scott from One Tree Hill is one of them. He has to be the worst of the worst TV dads of all time.

This is a man who completely turned his back on the elder of his two sons. He didn’t even care when he acknowledged the younger of the two and made sure Nathan got everything possible for a good career in basketball. It was only when Dan saw Lucas’s skills that he paid even just an ounce of attention, but it was all for his own gain rather than either of his sons’ gains.

You see, even Nathan realized the toxicity that Dan brought to his life. It all came to a head when Lucas and Nathan found out that Dan was the one to kill his brother and put the blame on the school shooter.

Dan did eventually try to make amends, but it was far too late by then. While he died nobly, it wasn’t enough to make up for everything bad that he’d done up to that point.
