What is the movie Who Kidnapped My Mom? on Lifetime about?

The latest Lifetime movie was inspired by true events, the network shares. The story follows Eva, a widow and mother, after her mysterious disappearance. Not long after Eva is reported missing, she is found in her own backyard, alive and seemingly well. Police aren’t happy and don’t believe that she was ever kidnapped in the first place.

After a family dinner that ends in a loud argument, Eva goes missing again. This time, Eva’s daughters, Sami and Grace, are not able to get help from authorities as they do not believe she’s really missing and say she likely left by choice. It’s up to her daughter Sami to find her mother before it’s too late.
