How to watch Prince Harry’s ABC special interview with Michael Strahan
Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, hit bookshelves today (Jan. 10, 2023). Ahead of its release, the Duke of Sussex has been promoting the book by appearing in multiple interviews including 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper and a special on Good Morning America.
The show’s co-host, Michael Strahan, had the opportunity to do a sit-down interview with the former royal about some of what’s in the book – including growing up in the spotlight, the loss of his mother Princess Diana, the tensions in his family and between his brother Prince William, and the ongoing struggles with the British Press.
If you’ve been following the prince and his wife Meghan Markle’s journey since their exit as working royals, including the recent release of their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, you might be interested in watching the GMA interview. Here’s how you can do so.
How to watch Prince Harry’s ABC special interview with Michael Strahan
Prince Harry: In His Own Words | Michael Strahan Reporting streamed live on ABC and Hulu upon its release on Jan. 9. But if you missed it, don’t worry! There’s two easy ways to watch the special online.
The ABC News website uploaded the full, almost half-hour interview on its website. You can watch it for free, without ads or the need to sign in with an account. If you have Hulu, the special is currently streaming on the platform as well.
The sit-down shed some more light on the relationship between the two brothers, and unfortunately it hasn’t been a good one even before Harry’s decision to exit as a working royal. In the book, the prince refers to his “beloved” brother as also being his “arch nemesis,” sharing there’s always been a competitive side to their relationship.
When Strahan asked him about possibly finding a solution to reconcile with his family, Harry said he’s hopeful. But if it doesn’t happen, he’s happy to be where he is today, with his wife and two kids.
