The Showstopper performances round is the one standing between all the American Idol hopefuls and the coveted Top 24. Judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan made some very tough decisions to decide who is heading to Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii.

Everyone brought their A-game, it’s a shame there can only be one winner! But unfortunately, this is all a part of the ABC competition and contestants will need to continue to be narrowed down until we have the one winner at the end in Hollywood! And once we reach Hawaii, that’s when voting opens up for the first time for us at home.

Who will it be? Well, it’s definitely going to be one of the people who made it into the Top 24. Who made it this season? We’ve got the answer for you below!

Top 24 American Idol 2023 contestants (Top 26 actually!)

Plot twist! The judges just couldn’t narrow down the contestants to 24, there’s too much talent! And so, this year the show will have the Top 26, all headed to Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii.

* UPDATE: Our predictions were right and 16-year-old Paige Anne from Idaho is the remaining contestant to round out the Top 26! Paige made it into the Top 20, but unfortunately had to head home and is not a part of the Top 12. It turns out she was actually the judges’ second choice for the Top 26, as it was revealed another contestant, Beckett Rex, got the spot. Though it eventually went to Paige after Beckett chose to leave the series, marking the third exit of the season.

Please note, only 25 are listed below because these are all who were announced on the April 10, 2023 episode. According to ABC, we will find out who snagged that lost spot next week in Hawaii. Be sure to come back to this page as we’ll keep you updated on who that is. Check out the full Top 26 list below! (Note – the following results were updated live during the airing of the episode)

The reality singing series has really proved how difficult it can be, and that no one is safe. In a surprise move, the judges decided not to send all of the Platinum ticket winners through this season. Cam Amen and Kaylin Hedges headed home, as Tyson Venegas and Elijah McCormick both secured a spot in the next round of the competition.
