Is Paige Anne still on American Idol? (Did she make it into the Top 12?)

Season 21 of American Idol seems to just love throwing curveballs our way, we’re wondering what more plot twists are to come this season! In the April 10 episode, we found out which contestants made it to the next round headed over to Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii on the ABC competition. Is Paige Anne one of them?

While the format of the show usually has the judges pick the Top 24 to head to the tropical state, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan decided a surprise was in order. Not being able to narrow down the contestants, season 21 officially has the Top 26! That just means our job at home is going to be harder as the votes will be open to viewers to decide who gets into the Top 20 starting with the April 16 episode, “Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii Part #1.”

But before that, the Top 26 will continue to showcase their talent in the hopes of earning a spot in the next round once back in Hollywood. So did Paige pass the Showstopper/Final Judgement round? How far has she made it in the competition? We’ve got the answer for you below!

Did Paige Anne make Top 24 (Top 26) on American Idol?

The judges were so torn between the 16-year-old from Idaho and fellow contestant Megan Danielle that they had them go into final judgement together. Though both had already performed on stage, they were asked to do a sing off right then and there in the room. Ultimately, the judges picked 20-year-old Megan and sent Paige home. At this point, we thought this was the end of the Idol journey for the teen.

Remember what we were saying about surprises? As we reported last week and if you were paying attention closely, the show actually only announced 25 contestants who are heading to Hawaii. So who got the last spot in the Top 26?

* UPDATE – In the final moments of the first night of the Top 26 performance shows, ABC confirmed Paige Anne is the final member of the Top 26 and is among the 13 contestants who will be performing on the April 17 episode. She did, and she rocked it!

In another surprise twist, it turns out Anne is the second choice for a spot in the Top 26. It was recently revealed that another contestant, Beckett Rex, had actually earned the spot, but left by choice. That’s when the judges decided to bring Anne back! Rex leaving marks the third exit of the season.

It had been previously hinted that Anne would appear in the Top 26 via the network’s promotional images which featured Paige. Check out the images below!

Did Paige Anne make the Top 12 on American Idol?

Paige did move on and was part of the Top 20 thanks to our votes at home as revealed on the Sunday, April 23 episode. Unfortunately though, her Idol journey came to and end and we had to say goodbye to Paige as she did not make it into the Top 12 as revealed in the Monday, April 24 episode.
