Alright, Bold fans. It looks like The Bold and the Beautiful is picking up the week of Oct. 2. We’ve been coasting for the most part with exception to the bombshell revelation that Deacon was the one who kept Sheila from going to prison for the rest of her life. The reveal rocked her, me, and I’m sure the rest of the Soap world because that was not a plot twist anyone could have seen coming.

On Friday’s episode, we left off with the pair having a romantic night at Il Giardino. Deacon had the whole place decorated to perfection and he topped the date off by getting on bended knee and proposing to Sheila. He gave a touching speech about their connection and the love he’s found with her but the writers are making us wait until the week of Oct. 2 for Sheila’s answer.

Meanwhile, back at Forrester Creations, Hope was darn near pitching a fit because Taylor now knows that she and Thomas have been sleeping together. I keep yelling at the TV for Hope to cut this man loose, but she won’t listen to me so perhaps Taylor can get through to her son. If Hope doesn’t even want to try to see if they could have a romantic relationship, or consider in depth what only having a sexual connection could do to Thomas’ mental health, then she has no business being with him intimately. Maybe that’s what Taylor will tell her.

But, besides the soap’s messy romantic entanglements, we’ll also be picking up where we left off with Eric’s plot about his arthritis an the toll working on his legacy line is taking on his body. Based on the spoilers, it doesn’t sound like he’s going to like the news he’s about to receive.

Below, you’ll find a speedy run through of the spoilers for the week of Oct. 2 before I launch into how these tidbits of information could play out on The Bold and the Beautiful during the week as well as some insights into what’s set to happen the week of Oct. 9

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers (Oct. 2-6)

Quick overview of the week’s Bold and the Beautiful spoilers (per Soap She Knows):

  • Monday, Oct. 2: A marriage proposal is made. Taylor confronts Hope about Thomas.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 3: Donna keeps Eric’s health condition from Katie. RJ tells Luna about Eric’s tremors.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 4: Distressing news is delivered to Eric and Donna. Luna opens up about her past to RJ.
  • Thursday, Oct. 5: Hope confides in Finn about Liam and Thomas. Eric keeps a secret from Donna.
  • Friday, Oct. 6: Deacon makes a promise to Sheila. Hope thinks on Finn’s advice about Thomas.

If you watched Friday’s episode, you know the marriage proposal in Monday, Oct. 2‘s episode is simply a continuation of Deacon popping the question to Sheila. It’s sure to be romantic but also a rehash of what we’ve already seen. Though my fingers are crossed that she’ll tell him, “Yes,” in the episode instead of the soap dragging her answer out into the following episode or, heavens forbid, until Friday.

As for Taylor giving Hope a piece of her mind, get the popcorn ready. She already likened the brand ambassador to her mother, even going as far to call her manipulative when warning Thomas that he could find himself alone instead of “being in control” of the situation like he thought. It’s pretty obvious Taylor’s going to ask Hope about her intentions toward Thomas and considering we know Hope only wants to be intimate, whilst also hearing Thomas tell her he’s helplessly devoted to her, the conversation is not going to go well for her.

Tuesday, Oct. 3-Thursday, Oct. 5 is going to be all about Eric’s health. I’m interested in seeing where this goes because he’s been adamant that no one but himself, Donna, and RJ know about his arthritis but the weight of carrying the secret is obviously weighing on the two. Donna is faring better since she’s going to be hiding what’s going on from her sister, Katie, but RJ is so desperate to talk that he’s going to be opening up to a practical stranger.

Look, I like Luna from what little we’ve seen of her, but sharing Eric’s secret with her is a huge deal, so I do appreciate that in return she’ll be opening up to RJ. It’s doubtful that we’ll actually learn why the mysterious voice on the phone told her to stay away from the Forresters, but we may start being able to put the pieces together based on whatever she shares about her past.

Eric keeping a secret from Donna, however, has me worried. I couldn’t help but wonder while watching if there’s more going on with Eric’s health than he’s letting on. This fashion war has been fun, seeing John McCook have a meaty storyline that’s centered entirely on his character has been a joy, but I’m worried this plot might break my heart. And, no, I’m not saying that because I think McCook is retiring from the soap; I don’t think that. It’s just hard seeing such a creative giant like Eric struggle to express himself to the full breadth of his abilities because of a medical condition.

Circling back to Hope, on Thursday, Oct. 5 and Friday, Oct. 6, she’ll be doing some soul searching regarding Thomas. FINALLY! Maybe Taylor’s talk will inspire her to make better choices but first she’ll be opening up to Finn, who isn’t really a neutral party but he’s as neutral as she’s probably going to get…sort of. He does have one dog in this race and it’s that if Hope can somehow convince Liam to forgive her and try again at their relationship, he’ll stop pursuing Steffy.

That’s not likely to happen but never say never. After all, Deacon proposed to Sheila and I have a feeling that the promise he makes her on Friday has to do with Finn. I say this because of the early spoilers that have come out for the week of Oct. 9. STOP reading here if you don’t want to be spoiled for what’s going to happen after Friday, Oct. 6.

What happens on The Bold and the Beautiful next week (Oct. 9-13)?

According to Daytime Royalty Online, Deacon doesn’t only want to be Sheila’s partner in life, he also wants to be her ally in her quest to get her son, Finn, to at least try to establish a relationship with her. He’s going to advocate on her behalf to the doctor himself!

Later on in the week, Hope is supposed to receive some mind-blowing news, and I have a sneaking suspicion it’s that her dad either proposed to or is engaged to Finn’s mom. I’d prefer if the information came from Deacon, but I’d understand if Finn immediately shares what he knows with her because that is not something someone is going to be able to sit on for long.

Besides Finn and Hope’s increasing involvement in each other’s lives, the week of Oct. 9 is also supposed to pull us deeper into the mystery surrounding Luna. She’ll be receiving a warning. Sure, there’s not much to go off of there but, hey, we know she was already warned off before. Perhaps this will be a stronger push for her to stay away from the Forresters with some key details on why. I don’t know about you but I’m intrigued.
