Trolls Band Together cast: Who’s back to voice the colorful characters?

The Trolls Band Together animated musical is dropping on November 17th, returning with our favorite, colorful characters. The cast are big names in the industry, bringing life to the Trolls in the third installment of the DreamWorks franchise.

The premise of Trolls Band Together follows Branch as he reunites and joins his brothers to rescue their kidnapped brother. Unbeknownst to his new girlfriend, Poppy, Branch was in the boyband BroZone with his brothers before their disbandment. For the Troll Queen, she gets a reunion of her own when she meets her long-lost sister, Viva, and they reconnect with a shared interest.

With a soundtrack to boot, bright and fun animation, and adorable characters, Trolls Band Together will surely bring lots of laughs to everyone.

Who’s in the Trolls Back Together cast?

As we said, big names in the entertainment industry star in the film, including those in the first two Trolls movies and new voices for the third film. Let’s find out who’s behind Queen Poppy, Branch, Viva, and the rest of the cast!

Anna Kendrick as Queen Poppy

Anna returns as the bright pink troll, Poppy, queen of the Pop Trolls, and the girlfriend of Branch. Poppy is adventurous, effervescent, and optimistic to a fault. She loves dancing, music, singing, and befriending everyone she interacts with.

Where have you seen Anna Kendrick before?

Before joining the Trolls franchise, Anna rose to fame as Jessica Stanley in The Twilight Saga franchise. She was then cast in a string of comedies such as 50/50, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and Up In The Air. In 2012, Anna starred as the lead, Beca Mitchell, in Pitch Perfect and its respective sequels.

Justin Timberlake as Branch

Justin Timberlake reprises his voice role of Branch, a grey survivalist troll and the boyfriend of Poppy. Unlike Poppy, Branch can be sarcastic and paranoid and was not a music fan initially. When he met Poppy, his life was added with color and was changed for the better.

Where have you seen Justin Timberlake before?

Justin is one-fifth of the boy band, *NSYNC, who rose to prominence in the early Y2K era. After a very lengthy hiatus, the group reunited at the 2023 MTV VMAs, announcing they’ll release new music. Aside from his 20+ music tenure, Justin starred in a handful of productions, including The Social Network, Alpha Dog, Friends With Benefits, Bad Teacher, and the live-action/CGI Hanna-Barbara feature Yogi Bear, where he voiced Boo-boo the Cub. In 2000, Justin made his film debut in the Wonderful World of Disney television movie Model Behavior.

He and *NSYNC will have an original song on the Trolls Band Together soundtrack. Titled “Better Place,” the track would be the group’s first song in 22 years.

Camila Cabello as Viva

Camila is new to the Trolls franchise and will be the voice of Viva, Poppy’s long-lost sister and the leader of a sub-tribe of Pop Trolls. According to Viva’s Fandom page, Viva is described as “being more like Poppy than Poppy,” due to being separated at a young age from her family, Viva has abandonment issues.

Where have you seen Camila Cabello before?

Camilia is a Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter who was a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony in her early career. She has performed alongside musicians Shawn Mendes and Machine Gun Kelly and has opened up for the English rock band Coldplay for their Latin American Tour. In 2021, she starred in the Amazon Prime musical Cinderella.

Kenan Thompson as Tiny Diamond

Kenan voices Tiny Diamond, an adorable, glittering baby troll with a bigger-than-life personality, and wears bright yellow shades to emphasize his coolness. Following his introduction in Trolls World Tour, Tiny makes his comeback in Band Together. He’s the child of Guy Diamond, an adult version of his son, minus the shades.

Where have you seen Kenan Thompson before?

Kenan is a cast member of NBC’s Saturday Night Live and starred alongside Kel Mitchell in the Nickelodeon comedy Kenan and Kel from 1996 to 2000. Kenan starred in the comedy Good Burger and its upcoming sequel, Good Burger 2, with Mitchell. Disney fans might remember Kenan best for his role as Russ Tyler in The Mighty Ducks films.

Icona Pop (Aino Jawo and Caroline Hjelt) as Satin and Chenille

Swedish duo Icona Pop voices the conjoined twin trolls Satin and Chenille, the trendiest of the Pop Trolls. The girls are also fashion models who walked many a runway and experimented with different looks. Although the twins are close, they hardly agree on anything.

Where have you seen Icona Pop before?

You might’ve heard Icona Pop’s 2012 dance hit, I Love It, which peaked at #7 on the Billboard Charts for Billboard’s Hot 100. According to the duo’s website, they’re currently on tour in the US.
