FBI: International just wrote off yet another guest agent, but could they return? We need to know how the character was written out after the threats made.

Caution: This article contains SPOILERS for FBI: International Season 4 Episode 14

Fans of FBI: International know the series has undergone a lot of personnel changes in the main cast. However, there have also been a variety of "guest agents" who join the team for a few episodes and then move on.

Season 2 had Zoey McKenna with the team briefly. Then Greg Hovanessian had a big role as Damien Powell, who joined the Fly Team late in Season 2, and even a brief romance with Vo. He left early in Season 3 as he wasn't comfortable with these assignments and went back to undercover work.

Season 4 introduced Jay Hayden as Tyler Booth, an old friend of new team leader Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer). The pair worked well together even as Booth bent the rules interrogating a suspect. Before that could lead to conflict, he was transferred to another unit.

Who was the latest special agent in FBI: International?

After Booth left, the Fly Team was joined by Riley Quinn (Veronica St. Clair), a special agent from the FBI Baltimore office. She was heading to Budapest supposedly to hunt a serial killer. In reality, Quinn had a much different assignment.

Riley was told by section chief Dave Zaleski to keep an eye on Mitchell, whom he suspected was corrupt. Riley was unsure but pressured into it as her brother was in hot water with the DEA and this was the best way to keep him out of jail.

Riley worked with the team to report to Zaleski that Mitchell was clean. That wasn't good enough, as Zaleski arranged for Riley to stay with the Fly Team and continue to spy for him. That included discovering emails on how Mitchell had crossed the line hunting for the guy who shot Vo in the winter finale.

Quinn finally confessed to Vo what was going on with Vo promising to help. In "A Winged Lion For Protection," the team traveled to Venice to investigate a murder case. Vo told Mitchell what was happening with Mitchell realizing this was personal.

Back in Quantico, Mitchell had helped out an agent who was having a hard time with Zaleski. Zaleski was a case of someone who took a slight as a personal attack and that Mitchell was some sort of threat. In other words, this whole thing was just because Zaleski's ego got bruised years before.

What happened to Quinn in FBI: International

Mitchell talked to Quinn, relating he understood what she was doing and why. He pointed out that her brother was quite likely guilty, which Quinn already knew. She thus refused to give up the emails which, of course, got her targeted by Zaleski who was ordering her back to the States to face a review board.

Thankfully, in the midst of their case, the team did a task for the CIA. As part of handing over some needed information, Mitchell got the CIA to pressure Zaleski to back off Quinn. As the team celebrated the case being solved, Quinn arrived to relate that thanks to Zaleski's "glowing recommendation," she was getting a prime assignment for a Violent Crimes task force. The team congratulated her, and Michell was happy to see her get a break.

The door may be open a bit for Quinn's return as there's still no word on what happens with her brother. It's also likely that while he's put off for now, Zaleski might only be more angered by Wes and go after him in another way. Given that FBI: International has been canceled, it's unlikely we'll see Quinn or another "guest agent" again, so Quinn's tenure with the team is short. At least she got a decent end rather than seeing her career ruined.

FBI: International Season 4 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on CBS.
