A rock star will cameo on Bold and the Beautiful in September (Here's who!)

The Bold and the Beautiful has been busy keeping us entertained with bonkers plot twists, an intriguing murder mystery, and special guest stars. We just enjoyed the musical stylings of Michael Damian thanks to his character Danny Romalotti's performance of "Rock On" during the The Young and the Restless crossover.

He and Lauralee Bell (who plays Christine Blair) popped by in a fun and then shocking storyline that saw Hope Logan kiss the very married Dr. John Finnegan during the festivities as the rest of the partygoers danced to the song. Now the soap is set to bring us yet another performance this time with the lead singer of the famous Icelandic rock band Kaleo--Jökull Júliusson.

Deadline reports the artist will appear on Friday, Sept. 27's episode. He'll cameo as himself and sing the band's hit song "Way Down We Go" which was released nearly 10 years ago on Aug. 7. The song was certified double platinum on Dec. 12, 2019. It's been featured in primetime dramas like Grey's Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, Riverdale, This is Us and more.

Based on how "Rock On" was used on the soap, I can't help but wonder if the inclusion of "Way Down We Go" will play a bigger part than a wonderful performance by Júliusson. The song is an interesting choice for The Bold and the Beautiful since it's not a fun bit of Pop to groove to nor romantic like Andrea Bocelli's performance of "A te" for Brooke and Ridge during the Rome storyline.

We're a little under a month out from Júliusson's cameo so it's difficult to know just how he'll be involved with the soap and where the performance will take place. But, given the subject matter of the song, this could factor into the murder mystery storyline the daytime drama is still navigating.

"Way Down We Go" is about paying for one's crimes. Júliusson sings of someone who let themselves run wild and now the consequences are coming for them. It doesn't seem coincidental that this is the song that'll be played during his appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful. Perhaps, we'll be learning the true identity of the Il Giardino killer around this time or another crime is about to be committed.
