American Idol Top 24: These are the 12 contestants performing for our votes tonight (April 8, 2024)
Yesterday, the first half of the Top 24 performed and now the final 12 are ready to take the stage with the help of mentor, Jelly Roll.
Last night, the first group of 12 from the American Idol Top 24 were mentored by Tori Kelly, and had their chance to perform as voting opened up for the first time this season. Well, this evening the performances continue with the final 12 contestants taking the stage after getting some advice from country singer, rapper, and songwriter Jelly Roll. While no one is being eliminated, these performances will help us viewers determine who we want to see move on to the Top 20 next week.
The remaining dozen of Idol hopefuls will be singing their hearts out tonight, April 8, 2024 starting at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The two-hour episode takes place in Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Ko Olina Hawai’i. Jelly Roll also performs himself, and sits on the judges' panel alongside Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie, per a press release. So who are the 12 contestants putting on a performance this evening? We shared them below!
This group is honestly all so talented, I don't know how we're going to send four people home the next week. The contestants ready to sing for our votes tonight include Platinum Ticket recipient Odell Burton Jr. from Austin, Texas, Mia Matthews who has remained in the competition while her sister was sent home, Emmy Russell, and one of my personal favorites - Ajii! Get ready next week as the results from our votes will be unveiled! On Sunday, April 14, American Idol is on for three hours starting at 8 p.m. ET. The contestants will make their way back to Hollywood for the first live show of the season to find out who made it into the Top 20. The contestants who are lucky enough to stay in the competition will be performing "a song of their choice," for our votes at home once again, per a press release. The American Idol 2024 judges will be mentoring the group, with host Ryan Seacrest leading us through the night.
