Remember, when I said that it looked like Sheila Carter ran out of her nine lives? Well, it seems The Bold and the Beautiful is primed to prove me wrong, and I'm so happy about it. We got our first confirmed sign that the infamous woman is alive in Friday, Apr. 5's episode when it was revealed that the body being cremated had 10 toes and not nine.

Of course, this means that Deacon Sharpe is going to be trying to figure out what exactly is going on and, perhaps, even track down Sheila in the coming weeks (or possibly months you know how slow soaps can roll out a storyline). From the looks of the spoilers, he's going to come upon opposition to his position that his lady love is still alive. He might even be considered delusional and grief stricken but we know he's not.

No, the delusional person currently on our daytime program is Zende Forrester. Yes, Bold fans, it's with a roll of my eyes that I must inform you that we're still wading through the designer's unrequited feelings for a young woman who is in love with, and wants to be with, his cousin, RJ. Let's dive into these spoilers and then get into what's set to happen this week!

Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for April 8-12, 2024

  • Monday, Apr. 8: Deacon loses it in the crematorium as he comes to terms with realizing that wasn't Sheila he'd held a memorial for and watched be cremated. Finn and Hope continue to comfort one another over their recent losses. Deputy Director Baker has some news for Steffy that she's grateful to hear.
  • Tuesday, Apr. 9: Steffy asks Finn about Sheila's memorial. When Hope announces her new design partners for her line, Luna becomes anxious due to a request she has. Deacon has a theory that Finn doesn't find plausible.
  • Wednesday, Apr. 10: Finn thinks sanity might be slipping from Deacon.
  • Thursday, Apr. 11: Luna plans on telling RJ about everything that happened between her and Zende thanks to her mom's mints. Deacon gets into it with Ridge over Sheila.
  • Friday, April 12: Ridge lays into Deacon, giving him a "reality check." Finn throws Steffy a curveball. Zende confesses his feelings for Luna to Carter.

Deacon knows Sheila is alive but will anyone believe him?

This week, we're going to be spending time with Deacon try to work out how it's possible that Sheila's still on this plane of existence. Trying to recruit Finn in this task makes sense but that doesn't mean the good doctor is going to be up for what, to him, is impossible. Not to mention, last week, he'd told Steffy that he thought going to his birth mother's funeral would give him the closure he's been looking for so that they can finally put this all behind him. If Sheila's alive, that's not going to happen.

While the spoiler doesn't go into detail, presumably, the good news Baker has to share is that the state will not be pressing charges against her for Sheila's death. That's the only thing she's going to be able to cling to though because with Finn prepared to throw her a curveball, the relief she's set to feel is about to evaporate with a quickness. Sure, she might not have killed someone but it does mean that her nemesis and greatest danger is still alive and kicking.

I'm honestly not sure what the Forresters would prefer. Sheila dead even if it means that Steffy has to live with the fact that she killed someone, let alone her husband's birth mom. Or Sheila alive and remaining a potential danger to them and a serious source of tension and anxiety in Sinn's marriage.

Zende remains in the fight for a girl who doesn't want him

I would say the meat and potatoes of this storyline is whether or not Luna does tell RJ about the night she had with Zende, but she's been trying to tell him for awhile now, so if she doesn't I wouldn't be surprised. But the two could grow closer in the coming weeks if it does pan out that they'll be working closely together on the Hope for the Future line.

Eric already said he'd like to see Zende mentor Luna. RJ encouraged the possibility. And now Hope is set to put things into motion so that it can happen. My issue with this whole plot though is that Luna hasn't shown one iota of interest in Zende since that unwelcome dinner he put together for her in the Forrester salon. She's been pretty clear about her feelings and where her heart lies and that's with his cousin, so something is going to have to shift here otherwise it's going to continue to feel like they're wasting our time.

There's unrequited love and then there's what Zende has going on. Maybe opening up to Carter will help him build a bridge because as it stands, he's down bad and the soap has yet to give us a reason why.
