I'm the last person who wants to see Sheila Carter dead on The Bold and the Beautiful, but the soap really does seem to be sticking to this demise. It's understandable that fans don't want to believe it. I don't either even though both Kimberlin Brown and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood spoke to the infamous woman's death and its impact on the story.

Here's the thing, Sheila really would have to be committed to pulling this one off, or there's a twist down the road that enables Kimberlin Brown to come back, because she is dead in Feb. 27's episode of the soap. Steffy frantically called 911 trying to get her some help. The paramedics did get to the Cliff House and worked on Sheila in an effort to save her life, but she was pronounced dead after they saw that she'd bled out.

While we didn't see the coroner come collect her from Steffy's home, we did see the sheet be placed over her body as CSI continued to case the scene and gather evidence of what happened. Right now, the incident is being treated as a potential B&E with Steffy the victim of a home invasion by a woman who is known for threatening her and her family. She claimed self-defense when recounting to the police how Sheila wound up with a fatal knife wound.

The authorities didn't think Steffy was a flight risk so they told her that they wouldn't be asking her anymore questions for the night, however, she was directed not to leave town. We are now in an active investigation, y'all, and it's here where everyone is going to take sides. Spoiler alert! Finn won't be on his wife's team with this one.

Unfortunately, he didn't learn about his birth mother's fate today because The Bold and the Beautiful is building suspense with this plot and the majority of his scenes were with Hope at the hospital. She'd already popped in to see him on the way to picking up Douglas' allergy medicine and then came back to his office because she left her phone.

Skipping over the terribly manufactured reasons for Hope and Finn to even be talking to one another, it stands to reason that she's going to be Team However Finn Feels. When he told her that Steffy wanted Sheila dead, Hope understood but she also was sympathetic toward how that would make Finn feel since, regardless of her deeds, Sheila is his biological mother.

When it comes to being a shoulder to lean on or a listening ear, Hope is starting to occupy that position for Finn, so when he finds out, be prepared for her to play a role in his grief arc. Interestingly, perhaps Liam will fill that place for Deacon. The two had an amicable chat at Il Giardino about Sheila and Hope that didn't put them on the same side but did give Liam a window into how Deacon feels.

Liam, however, does have the wrong impression about the love connection that sprung up between Sheila and Deacon. It didn't come from a place of loneliness in Deacon and a need to have someone who loves him. We saw their love story. How he described it as two misfits who understand one another and who are trying to do better in their lives was the most accurate description of their bond. No one understands it but them and those of us who rooted for the couple, but they really were one of the best ships on the soap.

Yes, I realize I'm using past tense to refer to their relationship, but I'm working hard to get use to it because, for the foreseeable future, we are going to be living in a world where Sheila Carter is no longer on the soap. Prepare for the shoe to drop for Finn on tomorrow's episode. He was consoling Steffy as she tried to bring herself to tell him what she did but that could definitely stop as soon as she tells him she stabbed her.

You really, really don't want to miss this week on The Bold and the Beautiful. See you in the next recap, Bold fans.
