Oh, Zendaya! The movie star that you are!

No matter where you go or what you know, it's clear that Zendaya is one of those young celebrities who will be remembered for a long time. She's a super-talented actress who knows how to keep all eyes on her both on and off the camera. Moreover, she has that look that will take her super far into her very successful acting career.

All this and more is the reason why we think Zendaya is a movie star for the books! But we couldn't possibly talk about this movie star without talking about her very best movies, of course!

Without further ado, here are the best movies of Zendaya's career thus far as well as the movies that you can mentally delete from her catalog without taking too much credit away from her movie star status.

Best Zendaya movies to watch

First and foremost, we have to recommend both installments of Dune, as these are two critically acclaimed titles that are driven by their very great story but also carried by their amazing cast.

In the fantasy films, Zendaya stars as Chani, a mysterious woman who our protagonist, Paul Atreides (played by Timothee Chalamet), falls in love with after learning of her gentle yet protective nature. Chani fights for what's right and won't let anyone continue to imperialize innocent places without her expressing why doing so is detrimental to progress.

Chani is multidimensional and a force to be reckoned with, much like our girl Zendaya. So, if you like Zendaya then you are sure to love Chani.

As far as the first installment of Dune, you can head to Max to stream every second. But you'll have to visit your local theater to watch every second of the highly anticipated sequel!

If you can't take a trip to the theaters just yet, there's no need to worry because here are even more amazing films featuring Zendaya!

Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)

Where to stream: Disney+

In this film, Zendaya plays our favorite superhero heroine, Michelle "MJ" Jones. MJ is universally known as a very strong girl with a good head on her shoulders, but what we love most about Zendaya's portrayal of MJ in this installment is that she lets her softer side show, especially when it comes to Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland).

Far From Home
displayed a very cute high school romance, but also gave you a great deal of drama, action, and, of course, hilarious moments. For that, we can't help but say that this film is a must-watch!

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

Where to stream: Amazon Prime Video

By the third film of the installment, you can expect Zendaya to be a pro at being MJ. The talented actress fits perfectly into the role since she has MJ's spunky personality and natural curiosity down to a T. Also, in this film, you'll notice how MJ takes on a more protective role, which only highlights how dynamic this character is.

We really appreciate how Zendaya didn't turn MJ into a one-dimensional character who only likes Peter and nothing else. Rather, she made this character come to life in a way we seldom see in the Spider-Man installments.

The Greatest Showman (2017)

Where to stream: Disney+

Whenever Zendaya displays her singing and dancing talents, the world celebrates, as this girl is seriously very skilled at doing both. She's a triple threat, after all!

In the 2017 film, Zendaya stars along many great actors, such as Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, and Zac Efron. She gives a fabulous performance as Anne Wheeler, a contortionist who joins the circus to be free from judgement of those around her.

Once you watch this film, you'll find yourself wanting to hear more of Zendaya's singing voice. Hopefully, that day comes very soon in the form of yet another epic musical!

Zendaya movies to skip

Like every great actress, there are a few titles that simply don't stand a chance against the rest of the movies that are in the actress' resume. For Zendaya, we believe there are only two so far. And the most skippable of them all is none other than Malcolm & Marie.

Malcolm & Marie (2021)

Where to stream: Netflix

Malcolm & Marie is a film that was produced and released during COVID-19, so we excuse a few of its noticeable errors. Still, we can't excuse the fact that this 2021 film was simply a bore to watch.

The film had only a handful of redeemable scenes, but that was only overshadowed by the endless moments featuring Malcolm (played by John David Washington) and Marie arguing over the same thing over and over. After the first thirty minutes of the film, it felt like the movie had nowhere else to go, and if it weren't for the powerful performances put on by Zendaya and Washington, we don't even think the film would've made it out the production studio.

Check out the official trailer for Malcolm & Marie here.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Where to stream: Disney+

By no means is Spider-Man: Homecoming a bad movie. In fact, we think it's one of the best films in the current Spider-Man universe. However, when we think of Zendaya and her role in the 2017 film, we think it's best if fans skip this film for the simple fact that she's barely has lines in this film and is, sometimes, sort of forgettable.

Homecoming was the first installment in the trio and it was alos our first official introduction to Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. In this sense, there was more of a priority to use this film to establish a proper universe for characters like MJ and Peter to exist and thrive in.

Simply put, the focus of this film was Peter Parker, not MJ and because of this, we didn't really get to see Zendaya much.

Now that you know all about Zendaya's best films to watch and skip, it's time to head to these streaming sites to catch every second! And be sure to stay tuned with Hidden Remote when we review all of Zendaya's new and upcoming movies!
