The end of Fire Country season 2 episode 2, "Like Breathing Again," had the whole fandom shook and the fallout is going to spill into episode 3, "See You Next Apocalypse," with a stay in jail for one Vince Leone. Yes, that's right! Thanks to a sneak peek from the show's Instagram account, we can likely count on the Battalion Chief having a no good, very bad night at Smokies that lands him behind bars.

It'd be quite the plot twist if this has nothing to do with Vince finding out that Sharon had some kind of inappropriate relationship with her colleague, Liam, who popped up in Edgewater. The two had worked the campaign fire together, and we know that was a time in Sharon's life when she was lonely and yearning for her husband. I'm not convinced that she stepped out on Vince but that doesn't mean she didn't entertain Liam's advances enough to give the man the impression that he had a chance especially if she never mentioned she had a husband waiting on her at home.

It's anyone's guess if we're going to see what landed Vince in jail but news does travel fast in a small town, so Bode does find out about it. In the sneak peek, he asks Eve if the Three Rock crew can go hiking, get out the chainsaw, or chop some wood. He doesn't tell her that he heard what happened, but she guesses and that leads Bode to open up about the guilt he feels. Get this though, Liam's still in town and Bode and Vince will have to work with him.

Bode's a hothead so it's likely that his best friends, Eve and Jake, will have to rein him in. But they'll have their own plots to navigate as well. As Captain of Station 42, Jake has a lot of responsibility to carry during cases and in "See You Next Apocalypse" it'll fall to him to decide what to do when a family refuses to evacuate. The wildfire in this episode is going to be massive. We not only know this because of the episode description. In "Like Breathing Again," Liam said he was in town because there's a big fire headed toward Edgewater, so big that Cal Fire was looking for volunteers and Liam signed on.

This would be the absolute worst case to have someone get injured on but that's exactly what's about to happen to Umar, an inmate firefighter. In my interview with Jules Latimer, the actress shared that Eve and Manny would be clashing as the latter fights her for control of the Three Rock crew. The two haven't been in a good place since Eve assumed the role of Captain when Manny was demoted. Kevin Alejandro explained that it's because Eve does things differently from his character and it's hard for him to see someone else in a job he cared deeply about.

They're going to need to put their differences aside though because Umar is in bad shape by the looks of the promotional stills that have been released. At some point it seems Bode will also be involved in this plot.

As for Sharon, what's been released so far for "See You Next Apocalypse" hasn't revealed anything about her storyline regarding Vince, Liam, and Bode. However, based on the promo, she's in life threatening danger during the case. Somehow, while transporting what are likely civilians, her vehicle will get surrounded by the wildfire. Now this could actually be a flashback to her time during the campaign fire and not the current case but if it isn't, Vince and Liam are her best bet on getting out of her precarious position safely.

Fire Country season 2 episode 3 airs Friday, March 1 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. Stream the series on Paramount+.
